I have been hunting for some Shimano 8-speed RapidFire shifters for my C'dale SuperV700. I have some Sachs GripShifts on it, but frankly I have never liked them and they are starting to crap out. If anyone knows of a good source for 8-speed RapidFires (preferably LX or XT), I'd appreciate the gouge on where I can find them...

I just bought a set of XT 8spd on ebay... take a gander there, I'd bet you'll find what yer looking for right quick....

Whaddya pay, if I may ask? I've seen them on there, but they seem to go for a pretty penny. I've found a shop in the UK that has Alivio 8-speed Rapidfire shift levers for £34.94 (about $68), but they want another £9.50 ($18.70) to ship to Belgium. A bit much if you ask me. I saw a pair of XT shifters on eBay for $62.27 but they want another $15 for shipping to an APO (US miltiary overseas) address. A fair deal? Also, we are moving to San Antonio, Texas in July, should I wait to see if I can find a set in a shop there?
