Hi all, when I took my Hardrock to my LBS and showed them THIS:

...they said all I had to do was slide both rubber things back to their original things (both legs' rubber thing had come loose) and lube it with some grease/oil so that they don't come off everytime I compress the fork.
a) shouldn't they be glued to the fork?
b) what sort of liquid should I use as lube?
c) after 20-25 hours of riding there's a free checkup & fix thing; I'll take it in (nothing tragic if I don't managed to fix the things on the fork) :p
That's it for now, thanks in advance!
If it bothers you, you could probably cut them off. I don't even have any of those things on my forks.

Mine always do that.. I just leave them alone and ignore it.
You can use White Lightning epic lube on fork stancions apparently.

This stuff works good.

No wrong. Those are part of the seal system and need to remain in place. This is an RST we're talking about it's not like it has the best seal system to start with removing parts will only serve to weaken the seal
Yeah, he's right they should stay there, their only purpose is to hold a little grease and try to keep dirt fom getting into the seal proper.

Haha, :D. My fork would probably fall apart then. :p
I'm thinking, when I have enough money (August-September), I'll upgrade the fork to something like an MX-Comp (or MZ-Race if I don't have enough money)

lmao :D
Anyways, is the MX-Comp Air strictly XC or can I use it for trails, urban assault and tricks?

Don't get an air fork for freeriding.
The Manitou Black is supposedly pretty nice, but if there's a coil ver of the MX, that's probably best.
I think I'm going to wait until my fork actually breaks before I replace it, but I'm not sure...

Yeah, there's MX Comp Coil.

.Ummm err No. I trust Manipoo's as far as I can throw my house. I certainly wouldn't use a Black for a FR application.
