well in the august 2004 issue of MBAction theres a review of the haro XLS r7 it looks the same as the x1 excet for the shock placement. they liked it, and said the frame had gussets everywhere. how much did u get it for and how does it ride?

after all was said and done i only paid about $650, thought it was a good deal, it worked out so now i can explore my freeride ambitions. Ill let you know how it rides after i give it a good thrashing....

Big, just for reference. Dual crown or Triple Clamp. Triple clamp isn't widely used anymore, but still applies.

thanks for the clue in on the proper lingo maelstrom.
one question for someone in the know. i am relatively new to the freeride world, what can i expect to be able to do as far as how far i can jump and drop on this bike on stock components, keep in mind it is a large size frame with a 6'2" 260lb male rider?

I really don't know much about the frame. Although all the e-talk is it is a good solid value frame.
I would actually look at buying a stiff spring, you will likely need it. At 260 on a single pivot you may need upwards of a 900pounder. It likely comes stock with 450.

Awesome. you won't regret it. Thats an amazing frame. (I own one)...you will need a 700pound spring on it though. Which I don't think comes stock.
