Hey all,
25 year old female hailing from seattle. Just got interested in triathlons so I'm getting into cycling. Hopefully I'll like it! I've been looking around for the past month for a new road bike. Entry level of course. Anyhow...Hello and teach me all there is to know. I'll look foreward to all the helpfull posts.

Welcome to the forum. I KNOW you will like cycling. Finding the ideal bike starts out with riding as many different models as possible and finding out what fits you best. It seems though that most of the bikes that are in the entry level category have a more relaxed geometry and therefore tend not to be the ideal bike to use on a triathlon. If you can afford the $1000 to $1300 area, there are a lot more options that open up. Many of the companies can be found with 105 grouppo in this price range and they can be upgraded to Ultegra or Dura Ace components if the need for shaving a few grams here and there becomes necessary.

I know Seattle is loaded with bike shops. Go out there and drive them batty as you ride everything they have.

We have lots of Seattle area members. Maybe they can help you find a good shop and the right bike. Just read through posts in the Road subforum and the General subforum.
And being a triathlete you'll want to visit the Triathlon subforum.

Hi neekee welcome to the forums! In shopping for a bike, be sure to check out Recycled Cycles near the U. They have a great selection of new and nicely refurbished used bikes - very helpful and might save you some $$.
