About 5 months ago, I purchased a frame from a friend of mine. When I bought it, it had no markings what so ever. BUT, I do know the original color & serial number. What I wanna know is if anyone can tell who made the frame, & what kind it is by the serial number.
Also, The serial number is on the botton of the bottom bracket housing. The original color is a dark green.
If you want the serial number or pics of the frame to help me identfy it, IM me on AIM at WcRoCkEr16 or PM me

Jesus ! The rapid crap paint job tells me this is a hot bike . I was waiting to see to pass judgement . Try calling the local police department , if the serial # was reported I am sure they can tell you what kind of ride it is . And probably the rightful owner ...
Be sure to give them your name and # so some poor slug can get his ride back .

No, its not stolen. The previous owner had tried to paint it lime green but he did a horrible job. It was spotted lime green/ grey primer. I thought this would look better. But now, the bike is stripped again to paint it properly.

doesn't really matter what kind it is, it has a 1 inch headtube

ok then , I would say a Hoffman or a Standard by the looks of the gusset , but the younger crowd has more knowledge than me on those makes and headtube sizes .
It is NOT made by RaceInc. , GJS , SE , CW , Hutch , Skyway , Thruster , MCS , General , or me... hope that helps narrow it down a bit !
The chainstays and droputs have an old Redline look to them .

a Standard by the looks of the gusset
I doubt it. The chainstay doesn't look like anything I've ever seen on a Standard, and - although I've never seen a Lengthy or Shorty in person - I'm relatively positive that both of those had 1-1/8" headtubes.

I've never seen a shorty, but i've seen lengthys. it lokks much like a STA. the gusset near the headtube looks similar to one on a standard, but standard gussets aren't as big. the seatstay looks pretty stupid if you ask me

Alright you guys probably know a lot more than me, but my guess is that it looks a lot like that GT dyno air I just got. Maybe a few years newer.

maybe a GT PERFORMER>>>>>
it LOOKS like a Standard Shorty but I think it's just a crappy knock off. the gusset doesn't look right and the standing platform looks a tad small and the rear dropouts don't look quite right.
my guess would be a wal-mart type bike from the mid 90's.

Well all I can see is you probeley got ripped off by a guy that painted a crappie dyno. With his good craftsmanship he could have sprayed over the stickers or just ripped them off and sold you a piece of crap. I might would of bought this if he would removed all of the parts and all of the cups and paint it a better color than some nasty red. Plus it has a 1 inch head tube which means you can not put 1 1/8" forks in it and the 3/8's axels. This bike would be better racing because of its small crappy parts. The rims cranks and pedals look like they were found in a junk yard. All I can say u bought a 10 second bike that looks if it was stolen. All thought them valve caps make the bike look like gold.
What a good buy...
im gonna say hoffman suger baby

That is not a Sugar Baby. Even though this photo is small, you can tell that it's not the frame, the smaller dropouts, the nonexistant framestand, and the lack of a box gusset on the front.

I dont think Dyno made bikes w/ 990's & 14mm rear dropouts

It looks kinds like my old Hoffman SD-4. Though I had a '99 I believe, and it had a 1 1/8" headtube.

i'll settle this arguement. the kind of bike this is is an ugly one. and u might not want to drive by a police station, they mite notice it from the stolen ads.

the frame is a mongoose. not even mongoose pro. a buddy of mine has the same exact frame. trust me, the design is that of the mongoose nyquist(or similar name, it begins with n). old old model too. not sold in SA for the last 3/4years.
