I've been into cycling for a while and just started getting into triathlons and like most people probably I've looked at the UK magazines and their price and said no way, $9.00 a mag seems like a lot. I then picked up a Cycling Plus UK mag and have been buying them monthly ever since, I haven't even touched my Bicycling magazines. The Cycling Plus magazine just seemed to have so much more "useful" reading material, instead of taking up more than half the magazine with reviews they would put training in. Same thing with the triathlon magazine, I've been reading Triathlete and Inside Triathlon mags for a whle, Triathlete was my favorite, quite a bit of training articles and some interesting editorials and reviews, I was impressed until I bought a 220 Triathlon UK mag tonight, I couldn't believe how much training material was inside the mag, there was about 4 or more magazine worth of training material in this one mag. So what's the deal? Why have both of the UK mags seem to have so much more training material in them than US mags? I'm lucky if I ever see any training material in the US cycling mags.
thx for any opinions,
