Metal trash can with an empty beer case on top , honest , will post the pic tonight when I get home . There is a big difference between hopping over a bar as opposed to a solid object , you dont get to stuff your front wheel down and get the extra couple of inches as the back end lifts .
u bunny hopped a trashcan standing in the up right position or laying down position?

no where about 1.5 feet. but over stuff or on to stuff about 3 feet.
yeah always found it wierd how it seems easyer to hop up on say a 4ft ledge for a stall then to actualy try and hop up the ledge all together

A bar is a solid object. When you hit it you hit it, it's not going anywhere.
As for how high I can bunnyhop, well I'm kind of embarassed to say, but I've only gotten around 10 inches..... I know, it stinks, but I've only been practicing them for two weeks now. I'm sure I'll get better though. Also, I'm riding a stock rig with a longer heavier frame than some of the better frames are, so that also might have something to do with it.

i think he means a solid object is a ledge or something you can jump on.
it's easier to stall a ledge than jumping on it because to jump on it you must jump 10 inches higher than you would to grind it.
"it's easier to stall a ledge than jumping on it because to jump on it you must jump 10 inches higher than you would to grind it''
yeah thats common sense lol but back to u oddtodd how high exactly is a metal trash can in the upright position and how high was it with that beer case u said was on it

well, I was explaining it to dodge. and you don't have to type the quote. there is a link that says "reply with quote"
a trash can is about 2 1/2 feet with the beer case and has about a 1 1/2 foot diameter

What I meant about a bar was the kind used in high jumps . A piece of bamboo balanced between 2 poles with pegs at 1 inch increments . Once you clear the sprocket height , you stuff the front wheel down and it raises the back wheel . Kinda like a teetertotter with your chainring as the pivot point .
I WILL NOT call my daddy and ask him to verify this , It is real and I cleared it !This is 20 years old , the quad with the Haro Vector bars , MX 1000 brakes , and Tuff two's . In this pic I have cleared the height with my sprocket and am just about to stuff the front down . Close to 40 inches by my current trash can and handy case of beer .
One of the few things I did VERY well !

mag rims. gangsta. Now, the only people that use mags are the people that steal them.
I don't have to worry about bike thieves. they don't know what a standard is. They ride around on hoopdys looking forlittle kids riding haros and gts.

When I say solid object , I mean one that you can't stuff the front wheel over , like a ledge . Very scary ! Never tried it at all . I have a side shot I am looking for....
queensrider86

a ledge is easier and less scary.
1) you can put the front wheel and nose manual on it
2)there is no 2 or 3 foot drop if you don't clear it

I can ride through a bamboo pole , or crush a box , but would get a seat in the chest on something solid for sure ! My new bike will be to heavy to bother with anything too tall and I am no longer made of rubber . Need some health insurance too , come to think of it ...

it really sucks when you try to jump a rail going down stairs and you clip. it hurts so much especially if you land on concrete

i was hopping up off the edge of the bank, the pic came out at a weird angle and when i look at it i get confused to, but if some one were to hop that high off the flat ground there they would be almost 5-5 1/2 ft off the flat ground, which would be insane

that doesn't count; it's off a bank. i can get at least five feet off that bank

My highest grind was just above stem hight. I guess that would be my highest hop. I havent ridden much in the past couple of months, this spring and summer coming up will see alot of improvement in my riding so that'll get higher then.
most people say they cant bunny hop high because they have a heavy bike but personaly i bunny hop with a 30 pound bike just as high as if i had a 20 pound bike i belive its all in the skill that u have to bunny hop maybe to smaller people it has an effect but to us big people. the weight shouldent make much of a differance in ur highth of a bunny hop,ive had light bikes but they all went to **** i never wanted a heavy bike because i didnt think id be able to hop as high but i could, do any of u guys think the same way?

i could get pretty high off of things with the bike in my pic from above, and i would say that bike was over 35lbs, i had a redline super x frame, 7 lbs frame, and tripple walls, just think about everything else on that bike
i reckon my highest was about 2.5ft
2.5 feet hey thats pretty good but can any body get over 34 inchs
