Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - SS Conversion Kit

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Has anyone tried one of these SS kits?

Not that kit specifically, but I have almost the same setup on a ss mtb/urban assault bike the never gets ridden anymore.
That's a good deal. When I did it, I bought 3 cogs almost identical to the ones in the nashbar pic off ebay for around $12. I got some spacers from some old cassettes that the LBS gave me for free. I used an old derailleur as a tensioner at first, but now I use a chain tensioner similar to the one pictured.

I would say it's a good deal unless you already have the parts laying around. I paid $40 for the original singlator when it came out. If you go for this one you can use it to either pull the chain down or push it up. I recomend up, it will give you more teeth to grab on to.

Not bad. My LBS was gonna charge me $2.50 per spacer. I went to another one who cannibalized some old cassettes.
