Introductions - 46 and wanting to compete

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello everyone myself and my wife have decided to get ready for the 2006 MS 150, we will need good bikes, I need help with that, I had a bianchi about 25 years ago and I don't recognize any of these names anymore. This site seem to be a very good source of info and hope to meet some riders.
talk witha all of y'all soon and often
Welcome.
You'll probably want to ask your questions about what bikes to buy in the General and Road subforums.

46 and want to compete, well your past your prime but thats no reason to compete, the uk southenr xc series for example has got catogires for 40-49 and even 50-59 as you can see, just because you can not longer keep up with 25 year olds does not mean you cant race and have a good time, so enjoy it! and maybe even bring back some trophies if you do well!

I'm still trying to find out all the details but if you go to the Road Cycling subforum or the Road Bike Racing subforum and ask about Master's category racing, I'm sure someone there can give you all the details.
Or you can ask your questions in the Training and Nutrition. It may be good to detail what you're doing so far and what your general goals are.
Welcome, though!
