Your bars are waaaay to far forward and I would cut like 4 inches off of them if I were you. But otherwise, it looks allright for your first build. way to go. Build it yourself?

I'll second that bars are way to far foward, Not to many people run 4 peices bars anymore, or front and rear brakes, It reminds of a Semi mid school bike, and i kinda like that. You did well for your first build.

I'll agree on the bars. It looks good though, kind of a new retro look. I don't see a lot of bikes with color other than black or grey.

i couldn't ride that. the parts seem pretty good, but the brake cables are disgusting. you should align your bars with your fork.

You don't have to ride it, so don't worry. I haven't seen any really clean routing of cables on a BMX anywhere.

yea i know, i need to shorten some of the brake cables, and tighten the brakes, move the bars back just a lil... i MIGHT cut 1 or 2 inches off each side and adjsut the lever postiion... other than that im done.. i wanted brakes cuz when i sued to ride i used em alot, and i feel liek i have better control... and i did everythign my self in my shed lol spent the whoe day there saturday

crx2ner

yea first bike i ever built, liek 3 years ago i had a Dyno NSX, and i played with it but nothing major at all.. just liek brakes and bars and stuff liek that... this was the first ive ever played with cranks, headsets, gyro's, and that type of stuff... plus makin my own gyro cables with the brake cables and perverts i had was a pain in teh ass lol

Hey, crx2er, I don't want to invade your thread, but I just got my new frame yesterday, and I've completely dismantled my old bike, now I just have to build my new bike up.

I think you would be surprised if you made them level with your forks that you would then in fact jump higher.. maybe, possibly, kinda maybe it really does help you bunny hop higher, but I think it would make you jump less high.

it might help him when they are that far forward, because he can pull his front up higher. But that would make it impossible to barspin

That's a cool bike my friend, pretty good parts too. Nice brake system, I'm hoping to migrate to something like that soon. My bikes better, but it's cool man, it's cool.

Edit: DUDE, I just noticed your bars man, you should definetly cut those ****ers down! And I'd also say you needed to trim your gyro cables so they're a bit shorter, or else you might get hung up on them. But it's a really nice layout, I like it. Good job.

That has to be the most ******** brake setup I've seen in a while, aside from any setups involving Snafu or RNC levers, or levers placed below the crossbar.

the only problems:
bars: 4 piece and they are forward
Chainwheel: Too big, bring it down to a 39t or 36t it would feel better
Brakes Cables: Trim them down because if you sit down , there would be brake cables in your face(thats not cool.)
Seat post: Just looks weird with it bent like that
But otherwise its pretty nice looking, goodjob on building it.
