In Navrohdrinuk the males of the family, by law, have the honor and duty to name the children and usually the father assumes this obligation. Well, Chuck had gone on a business trip when his wife, Kalama, suddenly and unexpectedly had to go to the hospital to give birth. The family desperately tried in vain to reach Chuck to have him return but they were unsuccessful. So the naming resposibility fell to his brother, Fred. Now Fred was known as a practical joker, and the family was anxious about how Fred would perform his task.
Chuck soon returned from his trip and was told that his wife had given birth but that since he was unavailable, Fred had named the babies. He rushed to the hospital and was cheerfully told that Kalama had had twins: a girl and a boy. He stood next to his wife's bedside to assure himself she was all right. Then as he lovingly gazed on his two precious newborns and he asked with some trepidation, "Well, what names did my brother Fred give to our children?"
Kalama quickly answered, "The girl's name is Denise!"
"Oh! What a relief!" Chuck exclaimed. "I surely thought he would make a joke of the name.
And what did he name our son?"
Kalama slowly replied, "Denephew."
