Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So I got a new job a couple weeks ago and just got the grand tour two days ago. and thee it was, a gym with two treadmills two hillclimber thingys and a recumbent pedaling machine that measures watts rpm time, heartrate the works, with variable resistance just like switching gears and a couple of good fans. Oh and a set of free weights.
I think it will be quite nice to warm up inside before riding home as I get off at 23:00 and its generally about 50F around here at that time, and dampness is common.
Also a small movie theatre style popcorn maker, ping pong table, foosball, a beach vollyball court/net(whatever its called) outside, a half basketball court, if you get a flat the front desk has a bike tire pump and gaterade in the vending machines. :)
I have no more excuses for not bike commuting :o

How neat!
Use those free weights. That is also extremely important.

It's very cool that you'll have a shower there so you can soap up before work too. ;) And like someone else said, do take advantage of the weights too. It never hurts to build up bone density since cycling is pretty low impact.

I never said there was a shower.
Weight it's self doesn't build bone density(or cycling would), impacts do build bone, placing bending forces on the bones will too(though to much will break the bone), heel strikes from jogging do to. My adventure race cross training tends to take care of those things and I get lots of magnesium, so my bones should be fine.
I have a full free weight set at home so I don't really need that part, except for the rack for doing squats, I don't have that at home. I just thought it spiffy to have a cadence and watt meter, and the ability to warm up before going outside after work. It takes so very long to get warmed up to crankin' temp in the drizzling 50 degree night, not hard to stay warm but hard to get there in the first place.
And yes it is a nice place, as far as dens of servitude go anyway.
