I posted this earlier in the Road Bike forum, but no one seems to be able to answer it. Can anyone tell me the difference between the Dura-ace 7800 and 7801 chains? Thanks in advance.

I heard on another forum they have had some problms with the 7800 chain. There have been some problems with the plates coming off the pins. The new skinny chains have very little pin sticking out of the plate so there is alot less room for error inserting the pin. This is just what I heard on another forum.
I've also heard that some people are running Campy chains on Shimano drivetrains because they think the 7800s' are soft compared to other chains. Just stuff I've heard.
