I'll have to scan and post the lovely birthday sign that even has a reference to Traffic Jammer that the kids made.

I didn't know they handed out titles now at school..... ^^^^

cavernmech - i forgot if i asked you already (ignore me if i did): what do you have in the way of 1" threaded headsets? i'm looking for something cheapish, steel if possible for the pink bike. i don't think i can salvage the one it came with. what do you charge for installation?
I have virtually nothing left in 1" I had ton's of Shimano cheapies but installed the last one last week. I might have 1 NOS XT rubber cup one left in the stash...I will have a look. Installation $15.

YES! Let's use this to keep track of who wants to go.. I'll edit it as people reply. Then we'll figure out when, and the rest of the details.

* Please only say you want to go if you for sure want to go. This should be a solid list of people who are interested. I don't want to get to the point of narrowing down a date and then have a bunch of people say "oh, I don't think I can afford it" or something. Figure $50 or so (correct me if I'm wrong please!) and basically a full Saturday. We can maybe go up for the intro class, do that, grab some dinner someplace, and then stick around for the evening races.
I'm in. depending on how may folks want to go we MAY be able to get everyone there without the need of the Magic Bus...altho the idea of a bunch of us on that thing is very interesting. There is a fabulous Mexican/Central American restaurant about 10 mins up Wellington...the Papusa's are amazing.

Yea that bus looks expensive and not quite to our needs as it would have to sit around for at least a few hours. Buddies with vans time?
Mexican feast after tracking.... sounds like an interesting trip home....lol

Even though I'm not a fixie rider, I'd love to go out to the London Velodrome. I'm down for the ~$60 and will help cover the gas for anyone who can drive.

I don't think we could get all this planned that quickly anyway, so no worries. We should probably call in advance to make sure they can accomodate a group anyway, just to make sure there will be enough bikes/track-space.

Depending on when this is happening I can probably bring a vehicle with room for three people plus me and four to five bicycles. Unfortunately, I don't have a free weekend until June and paddling season is upon us, so I'll need lots of advance warning.

i bought a pair from NYC bikes on line for about $50. they proabably sell them at urbane though. if you already have downtube shifters you can just buy the adapters (http://www.rivendellbicycles.com/webalog/shifters_derailleurs/17068.html)to run them as bar ends.

well I hate presta valves they allway's caused problems for me so I stick with shraders I've do it before with no problems.. the first fixed ride was fun I was slowing down with my legs and brakes I did get bumped off the saddle a few time and when I went to move position on the seat the peddles gave me a reminder but I just had the tooth done so riding so soon was abit stupid so I headed home spiting out blood that ruined the ride abit  but it was alot of FUN too
