Rides and Races - Toronto Fixed

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You're not that important :P
I was just behind you guys... man! That was you looking back at me
Well, I went out riding yesterday, but I kinda went overboard and rode down to 1 Yonge and back (left at 18:30, got back 0:30). On my way back north I tried to race a roadie just south of Eglinton, who I beat for two blocks then my legs kicked out. Just south of Lawrence there was this guy in a black shirt on a black fixie at around 21:30 who I thought might be on here, not really sure. Speaking about that, if you see a fellow cyclist on the street, how should you go about introducing yourself as a member of BF, or ask if they're a member?

Bust a no handed track stand and flip them off akimbo.

Ah, simple strategies work best...I'm not even going to attempt to trackstand, I've fallen one too many times.

My wife got my daughter a little messer -style bag. It just fits her lunch and a little bit more. It's soo cute!!!!!
reload has some pretty cute toddler bags.. probably pricey though. probably not too hard to make something that size for the young 'uns.

I would like to believe he has merely spread his atoms very very thinly, and we all have a little DA with us.
I think there will be a Life the Universe and Everything birthday party that year, and when my wife and I throw a party.....
Suffice as to say people are still talking about our wedding/party 12 years after the fact. Some people still haven't found their keys....jk'g

I'll try and check out some more Contact exhibits this weekend. There are 3 in the market. I saw part of the one at Xpace before running into someone I hadn't seen in awhile. Cut to coffee and catching up. That's been the best one so far... aboriginals, rights of passage, pretty candid material. There's some local stuff on King east, Toronto Squared I think is what the show is called. We'll see how it is.

there's an interesting one right in the brassai alley where i work. brain farting, can't remember the artist. each piece is a bunch of pics assembled together of the same demographic of people wearing more or less the EXACT same clothes. you'll have old men ALL in their plaid sweaters and corduroy jackets.. old ladies in their raincoats and frumpy hats.. mindless trendy guys in their pre-washed jeans and tight fitting white puma sneakers (ok i made that up).. the power of demographics is really interesting. ok i'm off for mother's dinner with me ma and pa.. (what the hell is wrong with y'all) :)

i've been in there a few times. actually, i bought an UTW bag there. i can't remember their shoe selection being anything to write home about. i still think Duke's has the best selection, and they have a "shoe guy" who is supposedly the guru of footwear who can fit you with something best suited for you. don't know his name, short white-haired skinny guy, kind of shifty but nice and knows his **it.

Yeehaw, just picked up a Gardin frame with a curved top tube from Jet Sanchez. It is way cool. I thought it would be bigger and I was thinking about building it up for my brother, but I might just keep the sucker.
