Sweet, nice feedback on the music list. I'll definitely check some of those albums out tonight (and add my own list once I get home from work).

Hey Cavernmech, my friend wants a cheap rear track wheel, do you have anything in the shop?

He says it's fine if it's second-hand and whatnot, as long as it's in good working order.

Thanks.

I can fill it AND send you packin' to Future shop for another hard drive baby.
Just don't tell the G.F. She might as well be Lars Ulrich when it comes to this kind of thing. Shhhhhhhhhhh.
Edit. I KNOW you have a ton of stuff I love too. Perhaps a swap is in order.

Ooh music....

1: Gnarls Barkley, St. Elsewhere, best album of the year so far
2: We Are Scientists, With Love and Squalor, great rock album
3: Feist, Let it Die, I love BSS and her vocals rule, as does her cover of a Beegees tune
4: Metric, Live it Out, Poster of a Girl and Police and The Private are worth the album
5: Dead Prez, Live Free or Die, possibly the best protest hip-hop since Public Enemy
6: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Show your Bones, another solid rock album
7: A Silver Mt. Zion, He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace The Corners of The Room, when is saw these guys live people actually broke down when they played 13 Angels Standing Guard Round Your Bed.
8: Ben Harper, Both Sides of the Gun, what can you say he has a history of releasing great stuff
9: Great Lake Swimmers, Great Lake Swimmers, there self-titled album is really really cool not for everyone but definately a great album for texture
10: The Mountain Goats, Tallahasse, very very low-fi but some amazing songs, No Children is one of the best break-up/bad relationship song ever.

If anyone needs tunes I have an absurd amount on my hds....

if you have a file somewhere online I could grab, that might be cool. I can export something also if you wish. But to me seeing someone else's music doesn't introduce me to anything new, I'd just pick out things I already know. We need like a Bike Forums DJ night where we each play a track each in turn.. :D

Well, I (unlike operator, i heard thunder when I went through Richmond Hill, but no lightning ;) ) managed to make it to the Ride of Silence yesterday and at least met Lll Mitch; but unfortunately didn't get to say hi to steeker or sam houston (so belated hi's to you guys). Damn, I knew I shouldv'e stayed at City Hall for longer, that wouldv'e been cool to see Lll Mitches' tricks.

Oh hey, I started using white lithium grease for my bike chain and it works tonnes better than the wet lube (especially in the rain), anybody have any thoughts?

irc = internet relay chat. It's like group MSN Messenger (realtime chat vs. posting messages on a forum here).

irc.undernet.org = an irc server (ie. bikeforums.net)
#bikeforums = specific channel on the server (ie. Bike Forums > Singlespeed & Fixed Gear > Toronto Fixed)

I learned how to type because of MIRC. (dbz chat battles.... whoever could type out action moves fastest won the fight... don't laugh, it was years ago)
anyways, I stuck around at urbane till 9 today because they were having a seminar for the toronto/montreal find friends ride. i was mildly heartbroken because sonambulance and eyefloater didn't show up.
but then again, the seminar was on basic bike mechanics haha.

anyways, prom is next week and I wasn't planning to go... but how can you not, if she's paying. so I was wonderin' if anyone has a tandem I can rent/borrow for the night.
