Here's our very own eyefloater caught in the instant he realized he was about to eat asphalt:

Note my lovely inset showing his foot (once again) flying off the left pedal. Dude. Time to buy some better pedals (pun intended). :D And yes, his back wheel is totally off the ground in that shot. I just wish I'd had my camera in motor-drive mode. :P

Oops, I thought eyefloater was wearing some of those cycling sandals; after a closer look it appears he's just wearing regular cycling shoes. Maybe I should go to bed now...

My beautiful face is fine, unfortunately my equally beautiful elbow has about an inch of road rash on it. Not a bad loss considering the comedic gold that was my low speed explosion. Remind me not to skid w/ my pedals when I'm leaning back in the saddle ... bad things seem to happen.

Ctu.
It'll break in, not to worry. Mine's comfy but got a little too damp and I may have to tighten it a bit. I have the flyer as my touring saddle and I love it. Eyefloater, that old Brookes I scored is a 5N. I'll bring it by the shop when I have a chance.

Cavernmech's just fear mongering because he wants everyone else to use that ****ed up cable lock he always has wrapped around his waist. [serious note]I REALLY hope we don't have to go through another Kryptonite recall debacle.[/serious note]
I am more than a little concerned. While taking any opportunity for a shameless plug..if Kryptonite has another security flaw then that just sucks for everyone. With all the problems I have been hearing about with flat style key style locks what is the next craze in "high security"? chaining up attack dogs to your bike?

ding ding ding...and that's 10 points for Jeremy.
and for the bonus points...... who produced the album and did the cover art which featured a cling vinyl banana peel over top a flesh coloured printed banana sans peel?

Ya gots to move that weight forward there kid. Do you always come unclipped when pulling a hard skid? It might be a case of not enough weight transfer. Also if the road rash is bad and you want to fix it up sweet...try Tegaderm from 3M. My buddy got taken down pretty hard at F.C.V. He had some really bad rash (for like the millionth time in his career) and used this stuff. he absolutely swears by it. Quick healing with virtually no scar to speak of. Oh wait.....yer a tough guy..you want the scars. As you were.

Crocheted wire stuff....I don't know if it translates to BF too easily, but buying some for a significant other could get one more off time for riding  I do have a crocheted ring in silver that's kinda cool.

It was totally brought on by my own stupidity (I "know" better, but I certainly should have known better then). I normally don't skid at all, just skips. When I do that, I unweight the wheel a bit, skip, do a half pedal rotation, skip, etc. That time I did a few things wrong: pulled a skid w/out moving forward at all or even unweighting a little bit (which put waaay too much strain on the pedal) and started a full-on skid w/ my hand on the brake (just because I wasn't thinking). So ya, there's not much else that could have happened in that situation since I really set myself up for it.
Thanks for the tip w/ the road rash. It's not even worthy of being called that, as it's basically a 1-inch boo boo. I scrubbed it last night to get all the crap out and lathered it up w/ Polysporin. All is good.
