It is that time of year again boys <and girl>. Yes that's right-the ever popular Bicycle Blitz! Each and every summer, following Bike to Work Week, Toronto’s finest take time out of their busy day to give frivolous traffic tickets to cyclists. Get yours today-I did! $110-disobey stop sign-fail to stop. Thank you officer Ridge!

Officer Ridge was also kind enough to inform me that cycling is dangerous, and that it is entirely likely that I will be killed while cycling. Because of Officer Ridge's vigilance, we can only hope that I will be discouraged from riding my bike in traffic. He has probably saved my life. Thank you Officer Ridge!
Go contest the ticket then fight it the cop will not show up

are those PVS short-shorts and high heels njs-approved?

NJS certifiable!

i wonder if you can buy those jereseys that the racers wear (the plain-coloured ones numbered 1-8)?

If you ever get one of those jerseys, are you gonna wear it like the girls in the pics? :p

Rofl.

Guys for Sat what time are we planning on getting back? I have work that night...

Didn't we all talk about this weeks ago? How come you have to work now? We'll be at the track until at least 4:00 or 4:30, and the drive is probably around 2.5 hours.

Can everyone who's coming out on Saturday email me to confirm? Just to make sure we have an idea of numbers when we're leaving on Saturday morning. wes at somnambulant dot net

And the invite is totally open to new folks as well. If you didn't chime in when I originally came up with the list, feel free to send me an email. I can't guarantee space, but I think we'll likely have room for another couple people.

okay so for those who expressed interest in riding this sunday: start point is balzac's roastery, in the distillery district (building no. 60, entrance off mill st - e of parliament, s of front st), 10am sunday morning. the plan is to go for 100km or so going north out of the city up to about newmarket, west to jane street and the infamous rolling hills and south again to the city. if needed there are rest stops, some nice bakeries along the route. moderate pace, good company, good climbing. lemme know if i left anything out.

Anyone know of good deals on threaded 1" forks? I'm looking for something to replace mine hopefully a straight bladed fork. And is there still a ride tonight? (not the one out at warden)??

ps:me and a friend built a longboard/streetluge slingshot if anyone wants to check it out they can here (http://youtube.com/watch?v=9n3YMkv2HSo) Its soo much fun....

You could always go for one of them kinesis straight blade forks. They come in the 1" threaded flavours.
& the stickers/logos come off really easily :D

Is it just me or does this fork look pooched. http://toronto.craigslist.org/bik/169378069.html

On another note, does anyone know what's up with Parts Unknown. There's some mouthbreather selling jewelry in the alleyway and it looks like access is blocked. This makes me sad.
