Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

FTG....

The best part of last night was when IGOR (chop shop guy on queen) was checking out Mitch's bike.
It was like a choir boy not being able to run away when the precher was touching his privates.
Mitch's face :o was somewhat distraught as if IGOR was molesting him indirectly through his bike.

FTL...

I'm laughing so hard I need a diaper.

Gah, I didn't believe there were so many hills in Toronto proper; I biked down Warden across Finch and then down Yonge.

She's a track frame alright, the headtube is supersteep and the toe overlap is immense. Nice and light Columbus Neuron tubing.

Campagnolo Record hubs, Ambrosio Mr.Martin rims, Campa Mirage Headset...

Running 49 x 16; nice and quick

Nice, thanks for the info. Beautiful bike, btw.

Hey, do you guys sell a fair amount of bmx stuff at C.S.? I've been sending all my mountain/bmx inquiries your way but I suppose I should see if you actually sell anything.

Keith/Andrew:

Great tips, I'll head out tomorrow morning and pick up my ferry ticket. I think I'm just going to go out and have some fun, nevermind trying to do "well." Maybe I'll see one of the messers who come into Cycle Therapy and just drag my ass behind them for the race. ;)

yeah, steep is purty alright, but I'm not convinced a steep track bike would be a daily commuter for me. I've got to o many snakebite flats slamming potholes on my route. Not always an option to dodge 'em when you're sharing the road with tandems and SUV drivers channeling the ghost of Gilles Villeneuve.

Kai, definitely let us know about BMX stock. I need to build up the Raleigh 20 frame I have on my kitchen floor.

Okay you monkeys. We have two of our own, eyefloater and somnabulent doing the Friends for Life ride. I just took a spin through both the pledge pages and I've yet to see much evidence of any support from folks here.

I know not everyone is flush but every little bit helps. I dropped $100 bones each, mostly cause eyefloater promised to clean my Ciocc with a toothbrush for a month, but I challenge everyone here to drop $20 or more on these guys. Split it between them or just empty your pockets and give what you can. Even the price of a beer will help, like you really need it you chubby walrus. Apart from being able to hold it over their heads for the rest of their lives, you're supporting a good cause. Chances are someone you know or you yourself may be influenced by the effects of this deadly disease.

So pony up, buttercup. For the half the price of a new jersey, a couple of beers, or a massage (sans happy ending) from operator, you can make a difference, feel good about yourself, and know these boys are going to earn every red cent as they gftg.

Do it. You know you want to...

Yea we have a good selection, we dont stock tons of bmx wheelsets 'cause the demand isn't to high.

Anything you want we can order fo sho. Got lots of sweet pegs, cranksets, brakes, bmx cables etc..

MTB stock is through the roof, we gots everythang.

Kai, definitely let us know about BMX stock. I need to build up the Raleigh 20 frame I have on my kitchen floor.

The steepness of the head tube makes the ride really responsive, which I am used to from riding my road bike.

It also make the bike feel realy stable and keeps the front wheel straight.

When I'm riding with no hands and try weaving the bike back and forth sharply the wheel returns to the center very quickly like it's magnetized.

So much funnnnnn.

Don't call me Kai please lol, used to know a guy named Kai...

Hello,

today, Saturday June 17th, there are a bunch of street sales in my neighborhood.

I live in the upper beaches area at 33 Swanwick Ave., which is just off Main St. one street south of Gerard.

I am selling tons of stuff, nothing bike related but I'm sure other people will be.

The sale officially starts at 9 a.m., but will run till the late afternoon I'm sure.

Come take a look at the **** people are selling if you have nothing better to do, and bring me a cold beverage.

We pretty much emptied out our basement, which was full of 20+ years of treasures.

I hope we can sell most of it.

PS. Being there to take snapshots does not ****ing count.

Alright, as I sit here psyching myself up for this I realize that I'm probably the only one from our little group heading out to this race. Am I going to have a racing partner out there or are you all going to leave me hanging?

PS. Being there to take snapshots does not ****ing count.

I may come out but I'm really hot asnd tired because they started doing renovation next door at [b]7AM[b] this morning! and someone had stupidly turned the furnace on full so all our rads were just pumping out heat into the heat until I noticed they were running and turned off the tstat... I'll tell you for sure in an hour I guess as I haven't really eaten yet either...

So I ended up drinking 5 beers instead... Looks like you're going to have to do this one solo for the team Mike. Good luck and don't take too many chances!
