Hey I got an idea for a nice ride (maybe) how about we meet on the Queen street bridge that cross's the Donvalley tonight and do a small night ride straight up the Donvalley bike trails to sunny side park ? check this http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-0606230106jun23,1,7557292.story?coll=chi-newsnationworld-hed

this afternoon feels like an eternity when you're sitting in an office cube. i'd like to be out riding...

I hear you. I went for lunch in China town and then grabbed a iced americano at moonbean. Walked up through Kensington on my way back to the office.. hated to come back here!

that's kind of why i didn't hop on my bike and go to china town, would have made the afternoon even longer. instead, i bought some socks and checked out the pre-pride buzz happening on church st. there is a pink fire truck on the street down by wellsley, i love it.

think i may have to get coffee later too. iced americano eh? so is that just long espresso with ice?

It might be a little hard to spot with the frame painted (I stripped the paint off mine) but the Pulse was constructed of Easton tubing. On the downtube...just below the headtube..there will be an Easton logo stamped in the tube if it is a Pulse. You will need to look very closely with good lighting. Crossing my fingers for ya.

So when you stripped it, did you need to clearcoat it or anything? (since its aluminum)
maby thinking of stripping it one or two years down the road. haha

regular double shot of espresso then topped up with ice and water. very tasty. don't try to put sugar in there though.. it won't disolve in the cold water. :)

Have you been to Bulldog (http://www.bulldogtoronto.com/)? It's a little expensive, but damn fine espresso-based drinks... plus they do latte art, which is kind of neat. :)

edit: I think this (http://www.bulldogtoronto.com/images/champ/comp1.jpg) says something about the espresso quality there. At least for their shot-pulling skillZ.

How many teeth on the crank cavit8?

It's a 42 which gives me a measly 69 gi as opposed to 73.6 gi I get with 42:15. It's a 144 BCD ring so no swapping with my other bikes and I'm not keen on buying a new chainring. Although given the state of my cog, perhaps I should consider losing this ring. The only other 144 ring I have is 1/8" and Cavernmech doesn't have any 1/8" in the sizes I need to keep a reasonable gear inch.

Hate to spend my dollars elsewhere but I don't know how long I can put up with this wimpy ratio.

the guys who started this place is a freaking genius; selling milk and cereal to the business crowd. here's hint: the secret ingredient is cereal. Cereal! there was an article in the globe about them a few ago....

Wicked; I thought it was a sticker, not a stamping and I figgered it might be gone cuz it does kinda look like a repaint. The guy who sold it also rides a Cervelo P3 TT bike, so he is pretty serious about cycling, which might mean it is a Pulse. Wheeeeeee, I would be stoked if that is the case :) :D I guess I could ask him, huh?

Paint stripper and a whole bunch o elbow grease to get rid of the paint. A tube of Autosol metal polish and about 2 hours of rubbing.....it works kind of like Brasso...wipe it on...let sit....wipe off. The more you rub the shinier it gets. My frame looked like a mirror when I was done. Re-apply when it starts to get dull.

Yes. In a plastic drawer on my shelf. They are old stylee ones with the old Campy lettering tho. $50 a pair.
Just kidding. One large beer will get you a pair since you will have to wait outside the beer store and wait for a cool looking guy to buy one for you.;) I personally like the old ones better.

Any vultures in the crowd, City Cycle at Galt and Gerrard is closing. Some price cuts. I was in there today and it's mostly low end stuff. Some Fishbone gear and a few odds and ends that may be worth the trip. No tools to speak of, either on the shelf or at the mechanic station. I didn't end up getting anything.

She needs the women's one ... due to fact that she has boobs and isn't shaped like a guy, etc.

Like I said, giant pro cycling team is womens.

Are you guys going to do the FFL ride tomorrow?

Hey Eyefloater. Here's a fundraising idea. Get a trainer, got to cabbagetown. Get a bucket. Dowse the cyclist for $5! You ride your bike, all the Pride attendees can splash you with water. Or better yet, give them a squirt gun. You'll have to wear something slinky and gyrate your buttocks fetchingly, but it might work.
