Speaking of deep dark secrets, I had a terribly practical idea awhile back.

dude.. you're a damn machine. seriously. I really need to give the donut a try. If you can do it on a 52x16 SS, then I should be able to manage on my road bike (I hope). :)

You can destroy at least some of those guys on a fixed gear. I'm hitting that up on Saturday with my new build!
Also: Does anyone know where to get red salmon 'Kool Stop' pads? For shimano holders/refill type.

Jammer: they don't have the holder type refiills (not the V-brakes either), just the grey compound threaded brake blocks.

Ugh why does everything have to happen on the same day. The Board Meeting is riding a couple hundred kids down Yonge, I have a party to go too AND Global Gutz is going bah sometimes I wish didn't exist within linear time.

That is all

Udupi palace vegetaria (1460 Gerrard), one of the many places to eat in the fabulous East. I'm off tonight to scope out some sushi and then off to do some reading at the Tango Palace Cafe, home of very good espresso and very large Nanaimo bars. On my fixed gear.

Keith, I'll let you know re: helping out at the Gutz. My lawyer has advised me against taking part in anything competitive for the next seven years. Maybe TJ and I can get a rope and be a "flying guillotine" obstacle. That'd be fun.

Operator, I thought I saw you on College today wearing a bright yellow T-shirt. Was that you?

I mentioned a veggie place? I've probably mentioned lots of veggie places... any more clues? :) How recent was it? I had tasty veggie food at Boom Shiva on Queen W @ Dufferin for the first time this Summer, so that could have been it.

That's happening this Saturday? Damnit! I've been wanting to photograph that for a couple of years, but I keep missing it.

That is 150% negative. I saw a bunch of lamers with purple faces going by the bus terminal at Dundas and University. Obviously from UT Engineer SKULE <- losers.

At any rate I wanted to say something witty but they numbered in the HUNDREDS. I quickly fled to Urbane. There was also this other weirdass march by some kids in yellow and funky shirts around union station, they just kept going round and round in circles. WTF.

I will now completely disassociate myself with the univeristy of Toronto.

Yeah I took it to the Byers Bush Jet Kote place. They sandbalsted it + powdered it for me for $75. Came out great. I'm about to fly down to my garage and put all these goodies together and will take pictures soon.

Okay, I need an N+1 opinion ...

Current bikes:
- Lemond Sarthe ("53"cm, 100mm stem) - http://2006.lemondbikes.com/images/2006_bikes/geometry/sarthe_croixdefer.gif
- Pake ("55"cm, 90mm stem) - http://www.pakebikes.com/pakespecs.html

Next bike:
- EAI Bareknuckle ("52"/"54"cm) - http://www.thebikebiz.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BK%2DTRK%2DEAI01&Show=ExtInfo

So I'm thinking I probably want to go w/ the "52"cm (54cm top tube) due to the fact that the reach will be a bit long w/ the other size. Since the stem will have a negative rise that'll lengthen the effective reach. This is just me making assumptions though, so anyone out there w/ some track bike fitting experience please chime in. I'm having some trouble compensating for the steep angles and the more forward position.

Edit: yes, this is devoid of any useful body measurement information. I guess I'm trying to get an answer based on theory.

So new job today. Teaching Hospitality and Tourism (Food Prep) at Danforth Tech. Should be good, teaching young eager minds how to cook, food costing, safety etc. 25 kids in a class all learning how to hold chefs knives. Think I might wear the old tin cup tomorrow. Hells Kitchen it won't be. Love the school rules-no hats, hoodies or do rags and no phones or mp3s. Think I might be a little lax on that one. Better things to do than bust kids over a an ipod.

Best part is, well not the best part as this is the dream job I've been hoping for, but anyways there is an autobody shop there. Should be able to get the bike stripped, cable guides removed and painted for cheap, like 2 dozen brownies I hope. Must remember to be nice to autoshop guys.

Chainline + headset + track nuts problems. I'm about to take an axe to this. Man I gotta get me some of those UTW sit n Spin shorts. Do they ever have any discounts/specials on clothing?

Edit: I just managed to strip two track nuts, woohoo!

So new job today. Teaching Hospitality and Tourism (Food Prep) at Danforth Tech. Bike tubes are much thinner than most auto body guys are used to. Very easy to blow a hole in a bike tube with the wrong torch head. Make sure a grade 12 student does it for you.

How tight are you cranking those things. DAMN!

Probably related to his dropouts not being spaced properly. It makes cranking down the nuts way harder and you can sometimes overdo it.

I just got back from a great long weekend at algonquin park and I still smell of wood smoke. Great weather except for one day but we had 'alternative' entertainment organized just in case. Yesterday was gorgeous. Totally worth it just for that.

I'm set for an alleycat this weekend, and then track racing the next weekend. Maybe donut ride the week after. Good to see stuff is still going down without me! My defrauding situation is also looking better but I still have no girl :p I'm planning on making this an autumn and winter of serious bike riding/ rock climbing. My friend and I are actually throwing around the idea of biking cross canada this summer so I need to do some serious training and figure out a gearie to build/buy. I'm going to check out the fall bike show and see if they have any nice cross bikes. We are thinking cross bikes with cantis and a bob trailer would be the best for such a long haul. Any suggestions?

Also,is anyone up for some evening/weekend rock climbing at any of the gyms downown this winter? I've been getting too weak, need to build up that core strength! Also no girlfriend to take up my time!

I'm a fan of the Burley Nomad trailer w/ extra cargo rack.
