Froshies are great fun, just walk up to a big group of suitably intoxicated young woman and inquire as to how their first day as an adult is going.

This is the best week every year for me, its just like Dazed and Confused "I keep getting older but they stay the same age"

Beer bust at the moontower tonight

PS:Track day may be a problem as the racing season starts that weekend as well. Details to follow

cam,

are you still going to head to the nanaimo-bar place on queen? sorry, forget what it's called. didn't forget about the nanaimo bars though.

edit: tango palace cafe. got it.

That was actually a yesterday post and I didn't actually get there. I may be going by tonight though. Incidentally, if you're ever visiting eyefloater and, as I do, asking him the prices of various unusual and unmarked items sheerly for the pleasure of seeing him sweat, stop at Sushi Marche across the street. Extraordinary sushi. super props as they make their own pickled ginger (no industrial red dyes in that stuff) and they do NOT stuff your sushi special with crappy arkshell and clam toes like everyone else seems to do. They were almost insulted when I asked them if they did that... Very good sushi at a pretty reasonable price.

I want to know what love is - Foreigner
Feel like makin' love - Bad Company (he's gotta do the pelvic thrusts in time to the chorus riff)
Fire and Ice - Pat Benatar
Wave babies - Honeymoon suite <--- just 'cause we need some more Canadian content
Follow your heart: Triumph (I'll take extra cheese with that).
I Touch Myself - Divinyls <-- How could anyone forget this classic!!!
Is This Love - Whitesnake (although I've always envied David Coverdale's hair)
When I'm With You - Sheriff (What's up with Canadian bands and power ballads?)
No one like you - Scorpions ('cause we need a bit of continental content)

That's it off the top of my head.

Survivor - Eye of the Tiger
Dire Straits - Money for nothing or Sultans of Swing

Anyone want to get together for dinner and/or coffee tonight? Maybe out in the West end? I have to drop my car off to get new tires out in Etobicoke after work and I'll be riding back through the Bloor West Village / High Park / Parkdale areas. Plus my gf is out of town tonight, so I'm on my own for supper and cooking for one blows. :P

edit: sweep: I got an extra ticket for American Hardcore on Sep 13 @ 9:00pm. Let me know (asap) if you definitely aren't going to be able to make it and I'll find someone else.

Sam (or other people "in the know"): what's the name of the lady who served me coffee at Jet Fuel recently? Tall with curly dark shoulder-length (I think) hair. I've seen her like 5 times in various places this week.

Jeremy: I'll probably be there in the neighborhood of 6:00 or 6:30. I was thinking of at least stopping at Cherry Bomb or Alternative Grounds for some coffee.

In a nutshell: UTW is the *****.
Cons: Stabilizer strap not super stable. No clip loop for rear light. Secondary rear strap snags on saddle sometimes.

I didn't even realize they had an option for a a padded back until I read this over. The review itself could do with improvements like picture captions. I agree with teh cons but then again I don't have the Messential (going to sell my bag soon and rebuy this with a padded back).

Edit: Didn't list pros, because the entire review was pros almost - go read it.

I can drop by after my stuff gets sorted out. What time around guys?

I don't know if he is still around but Chris Bishop from D.C. would give him a run for the title. When we had the NACCC's in Toronto we had a pretty long skid course. At the end was a barricade to keep folk's out of traffic on Cherry Street. Not only did he go the whole length of the course but he also skidded around the barricade...thru traffic....around another barricade on the other side and just kept going. That s#!t was the bomb. It takes a certain (read nuts) type to pull that off.

I was thinking of at least stopping at Cherry Bomb or Alternative Grounds for some coffee.

i may still be in class around that time; give me a call when you get close to cherry bomb. do you still have me cell #?

You should include David Wilcox' "Bad Apple" beacuse its been stuck in my head since friday.

Some people call me a bad aaapple
I may be bruised - but I still taste sweet
Some people call me a bad aaaappple
But I may be the sweetest apple on the tree

I do know what they are, and I'm already cringing. A friend of mine is a piercer in St. John's and he had a guy come in asking about them once.. *shudder*
