So I am officially taking snaps of the Saturday race start, one check point and finish hopefully.
Then candid shots at the after party. The course sounds like a screamer.... who's racin'?

Have they posted the course already? Or do you just mean 21 flat kilometres with 5 checkpoints and no way to take shortcuts?

hahahahaha that was the first thing i thought of when I saw that bike...imagine if it left that wall thing behind it as it drove....you could cut off cars....and win! ;)

Theres only one way to lock that bike up though! You're gonna get your wheels pinched!

I'd never get off the thing. It looks like it creates a symbiotic relationship with your nervous system. Catching that fairing would suck large.

The idea behind laying the course out is that it's virtually impossible to shortcut it. I think Keith slapped down a nice course after speaking with him last night. More... I cannot tell you. It wouldn't be fair. Looking forward to some nice shots hopefully. I can see me getting into this photography thing since getting this camera from my father-in-law..... i'm likin' it

It's ok.. I get violated by my seat all the time, man (in-joke for those I made uncomfortable at Jet Fuel last Sunday).. just don't let it take ALL of your pants, plz thx.

The course distance is done in such a way that shortcuts per say are out. The shortest way is not always the fastest way tho.

Oh yeah....there will be no posting of the course. Alleycat races are a think on the go type thing. You will find out each new destination as you go. That being said there will be no trickery or hard to find spots.

Anyone want to get together for dinner and/or coffee tonight? Maybe out in the West end? I have to drop my car off to get new tires out in Etobicoke after work and I'll be riding back through the Bloor West Village / High Park / Parkdale areas. Plus my gf is out of town tonight, so I'm on my own for supper and cooking for one blows. :P

edit: sweep: I got an extra ticket for American Hardcore on Sep 13 @ 9:00pm. Let me know (asap) if you definitely aren't going to be able to make it and I'll find someone else.

What time?

Still probably around 6:30-ish. However long it takes me to ride home then drive to etobicoke and ride back during rush hour. :P

edit: assuming I can even still fit my fixie in the trunk since I can't get the seatpost down/out still. heheheh.

No grease eh badboy? Doesn't it fit with the wheels removed inside your car (!trunk)?

somnambulant
09-07-06, 03:00 PM
yeah, it fits if I take off both wheels, but it's annoying to have to re-tension the back wheel (especially since I just cleaned/lubed my chain and had the back wheel off just last night).

That situation could be cleared up so easily! You can get totally screwed on maortgages though...

Oh yeah, I got my defrauded money back and it seems like they gave me an extra 200 bucks (but I may just be wrong). Plus I'm moved in and had a great camping trip. Unfortunately today was spent entirely in the board room... So tiring but you totally cannot take a nap. I've got a 9:15er tomorrow morning and my coworker is afraid I'm going to be late for it because I usually get into work between 9:00 and 9:15. Shes probably right but I'm pretty sure I can show up 10 minutes earlier.

You won't be able to buy them....but your laminator friend might have them.
Top and bottom laminate....turn it on add the cards one at a time... trim and all set.
Call your laminator friend, depends on the machine. I used to use a machine with 72 inch wide rolls of laminate.

It does but it can't be angled away from eyes.... I know all the flash settings but the red eye doesn't always work well (three flashes?) it sucks juice 4AA's really fast in the dark. I shot my sisters wedding (they had no one) ,in an old inn (dark) and I was going through batteries pretty quickly. Long live rechargables!!!!! I did learn about slow flashes this weekend for taking pictures of fire (candles etc) I'm liking photography, and people are telling me I seem to have an eye for it.

The draw does not happen until next weekend. The 17th I think. It will be supervised by the firm of Yak, Bluff and Stallem. We needed to add a week as Paypal sales are tough. There will be more stuff added to the list as well. There will be Goldsprint's at the afterparty. We now have Wellington Brewery sponsoring with some cheap beer to quench everyone's thirst. The party will be awesome no doubt and you will also be able to purchase raffle ticket's there.

Sam will be filling out the ticket's (I don't envy the carpal tunnel he will get) for all the online sales. If you want ticket in hand I guess you can either ask Sam at the party or buy em from me. Same price.

Yep, doing them as they come in to avoid having to break a wrist the day before, paypal emails go into a folder, entries go on a spread sheet, then to the ticket so it's just name & city on the ticket. copy/paste + 75wpm typing vs childlike scrawled addresses on (hopefully) hundreds of tickets.

spread that link around...maybe it's not in your best winning interests;) but blame the airlines, we need$$

tell your non-cycling friends & family that if they win they're free to give you the prizes!

I don't have a geared bike. I guess I could beat up Mitch and take his though.

Totally off topic I just had to share this. My buddy/customer brought in his pimped out Cervelo R3 this morning. I put it on the digi scale for him. With a heart rate monitor computer on it it weighed 12.3 lbs. beat him up and ride that. DAMN!
