Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

silly boy..... I'm at work Homie. You would have enjoyed the GG Party Rob.. :))

Wes the gallery is finished... took me a little while to realize it was my browser (Safari) and NOT PS resizing things oddly.
When in doubt use another browser, not do it all again....*smacks forehead* I tell ya man, the bones are getting softer by the day.
If you want to PM me FTP data I can ul the gallery.... I can be trusted with passwords and such. I promise not to upload my MP3 collection.

ah yes, i know that place. i usually buy my dickies there because they seem to be $35 no matter where you go. i don't remember them having many carhartts, i'll have to go check them out again. i was thinking along the lines of anyone knowing a ghetto discount store where contruction workers would go to buy them...

I used to buy em there....I think they still do em. Another option is Tough Duck..they sell those at Home Despot. very similar in construction. I get my Carrhart stuff in Niagara Falls now. They have a warehouse outlet there.

I haven't bought any in a few years, but I used to get dickies pants at Zellers for like $22 or something. Also, there's another place on Queen W that sells Carhartt. It's sort of across the street from Duke's and there's a big Carhartt sign in the window... looks like more of a "work wear" type of place than a "fashionable" place like Neon so it might also be cheaper. :P

edit: I'm still wishing I could find "Carhartt Europe" stuff here. It's a completely different line of clothes.. really nice stuff. It was too expensive in Sweden though. :P

I would also be up for something after work. Anyone want to meet for coffee and then maybe go for foodbeer?

yo jeremy theres a place in the eastend that I used to get em from, its near the oconnor bowl-a-rama by the mr christies cookies factory....I cant even remember the name but could always ride out there and get myself a pair as well...its a store for the construction workers and city workers etc. good boots and stuff if ou need as well.

cam was trying to give away free samples. you would've been able to try some if you had dropped by. so where the hell is "global" coffee anyways? i went to the wrong place, or the place that i thought was "global" and everyone showed up. haaha.

well.. as I said in my original post, I may have completely fabricated the name, BUT, I was talking about the place right at the North-East corner of Augusta/Baldwin. The place that looks like a shack with the stools on the sidewalk.

Is this offer for non-BFers as well? I have a friend in desperate need of a bike, but his budget is small. He would still make a donation to BMEF or some such though.

On that note, I'm heading to Jet Fuel

Way ahead of you!

edit: since turned brakeless and then retired. I still have that brake and fork kicking around for another project but I don't really ride with brakes anymore... Plus my brother was borrowing that wheelset to use on his crappy commuter and left it around unlocked and got the bike stolen ($10 bike, ~$200 wheelset)... that and the fork is oogly! That was an awesomely fun bike to ride around in the winter though....

I'm feeling a huge urge these days for some freewheel action, so a brake is definitely still in my future. I'm thinking either the Bontrager, Wound-Up or On*One straight blade carbon disc fork.

yes sigfried's is still open; i suppose it's there less for the revenue and more for the students to practice. you'll have to point me where to go to look for apprenticeships. i needs to work!

Try hotels and private clubs. Usually good places. I like the Granite Club, worked there for a few years. Nice place. I'll ask around and see what the word is. Do you want to apprentice or just work? Depends I suppose if you are an apprentice student or full time 2 year course. Apprentices get paid crappier than aquatic techies...er dishwashers. I started at $7.00/h years ago at my first apprenticeship. Wasn't all bad, place was staffed by slightly dimwitted waitress who happened to all be stick thin models. Throw a little fois gras their way and they went crazy. A little of the kitchen booze went a long way with them too.

This time of year catering is a great gig, parties are starting and Christmas is when people spend stupid money on cavier and canapes at 300% markups. Love it. Started some gigs today.

There's a big-ass fall sale this weekend at Cycle Therapy. Everything is on sale. We've got some used bikes/frames available as well. Drop by and get something for cheap, if you could please. ;)

does this include casual-type shimano (or other) spd shoes?

Is this offer for non-BFers as well? I have a friend in desperate need of a bike, but his budget is small. He would still make a donation to BMEF or some such though.

On that note, I'm heading to Jet Fuel
Sure...He is welcome to it...as long as he knows the secret BF handshake.;)

Cavit8, the double cranks I have do not have removeable chainrings - you still want em?
