Rides and Races - Toronto Fixed

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I don't think that any of you will understand this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5EAbvGS0QY), but that's okay, it's pretty dumb anyway.

So Eyefloater, where do YOU think is a better place to have coffee and watch people.
Or are you just disagree to be disagreeable?

Damn yous! :P
Also: I have to stop at a nerdy computer store and buy a firewire drive enclosure first, so I might be slightly late.
sweet what size HDD are you gonna put in 'er?
I got a nice enclosure at a store beside canada computer.
It's an NSpire NSP-ED352.
USB and firewire, and it matched the powerbook :).

Cavit8, the double cranks I have do not have removeable chainrings - you still want em?

~300gb seems to be the sweet spot for money per gb right now. Unfortunately they didn't have the enclosure I was looking for. I'm looking for one with a specific chipset that allows booting from the drive. I'm going to use it for backup (+ working files for audio projects) so it'd be nice if my internal hd goes sour I can just boot straight from the external drive.

Hey all,
Is anyone here going to this:
"The raffle has been extended to September 17th. Tickets can be purchased online until 3pm on Sept 17th and right up to the draw time at Magpie.
The draw will take place at Magpie, 831 Dundas St. West, Toronto about 7pm after the tape delay viewing of the Velo-City Series 2006 on NBC World of Adventure which will begin when Magpie opens at 6:00pm on Sunday, September 17."

Lil' bit of column A, lil' bit of column B.
I dislike the place because I'm friends w/ the guys at Cheese Magic and they got hassled by the coffee place for going in when they were busy and trying to get some coffees (ala: un-hip staff from the neighbourhood should know better than to bother other the shops with money when they're busy).
Total hearsay, but I've got to stick with my cheese moguls ... they're my pushers.
I love cheese magic. And ideal has way better mud anyway...
Op: I'll grab the road double off you. I may put it on something other than a fixed.

That's an interesting question.
Yes, but it's slightly mold-ridden (can something be slightly "ridden"?) ... just down the street is Tango though, and they're great.
mmmm.... Tango. mmmmm..... exceptionally huge Nanaimo bars .....
Mike, I may be a bit bringing that Brodie in. It seems I've managed to lose the brake cable pinch bolt for the front caliper. I may have something in my box of fun, but if not, I'll need to find someone who has Hayes mechanical parts. Otherwise, I should be in on Wednesday.

Anyone who deals with OGC (Outdoor Gear Canada) can order in Hayes stuff.

As it turns out, it's identical to a derailleur pinch bolt, so I swiped one off an xt derailleur I had lying around. I can replace that at my leisure. I'll add a few odds and ends to pretty it up a bit and bring it in on Wednesday.

Okay, I've got a bit of a tall order here:
The gf got me an awesome Francaise des Jeux long sleeve jersey ... problem is, it's a size or so too big for me. Does anyone know someone who could actually take in a jersey and not mangle it completely? Fabric like this is pretty weird, and there's a lot of different panels on the jersey. Honestly, I don't know how much I'll wear this thing since it's pretty baggy right now, but I'll definitely pay to have it fixed up a bit.

Also: I just fired an email off to Mike at Forest City about getting us in next Saturday (Sep 23rd). That's the date of their pre-scheduled track combo (2/3) classes, so hopefully it won't be an issue to get us in there. Anyone who's interested, please email me your confirmation at >wes AT somnambulant D0T net< (this includes anyone who has already "confirmed" with me offline, please!). Keith is available with his van again (Thanks Keith!), so we can get a large size group out again!

It was on Martino's blog http://bikelanediary.blogspot.com/ but i just looked & it’s gone. I watched it scary easy & super fast to do, it seemed. with your sweet thing if you can’t take it in, dont take it! Nice to see it last week!
Cheers
Rode with southbound boroSS today going north on Yonge. I thought I recognized him, but he in fact recognized me first so we bombed down Yonge at York Mills and laboured up it. We departed at Food Basics at around Cummer, since I was on my way back home to visit my folks. I managed to make it on 4 bananas (33 cents/lb!) and a gatarade.
