how much would I be looking to spend on the fork and wheel?
The fork has a 235mm steerer (8 INCHES bro?...we are in Canada) with 25mm of thread....I actually ran it threadless on my last bike. I think a crisp $20 bill would suffice.

I was biking last night to a friend's house on Carleton, just east of Parliament and these joggers would not get out of my way (they were taking up the whole road) after I honked my airzound 3 times, and politely said excuse me! I think I should've run them over or something - I actually might've gotten a response. But in the end, I just sighed and biked past them.

Happens to me every time I get new shoes. I usually end up cutting the cleat and backing plate out of the old show then hacksawing the bolts. How long does the drill method take? I always figured the bolts would be too hard to drill quickly.

Good bit will usually do the job. For particularly nasty ones I pull out the carbide dremel bits...these will cut thru ANYTHING!...I have removed stripped Campy track lockrings with these.

Just buy one that is slightly smaller than the head of the bolt. $2 bit=no good. $8 bit=easy.

I don't know about you guys, but for me lunch is the time of day when I break out the Equality frozen macaroni and cheeeeeeez "entree" from my dirty knapsack and eat the gelatinous orange slop inside as I sit at my desk. It's not as satisfying as it sounds.

As I'm lazy and have no concept of planning/ food shopping, I almost always buy lunch. If I go to the market my lunches are never more than 6 dollars and are generally more than I can eat (or at last enough to stuff me). One less thing to remember, not much more expensive than bringing my own food, I don't have to make/bring anything and WAY more tasty. Now that my summer student buddy (I used to baby sit him) has gone to university I tend to get some take out, find a nice spot and sit and read a book for an hour. Really helps me unwind in the middle of the day. In fact its time to do that RIGHT NOW.

Once the winter starts I may have to start sitting inside in the main hall of the BCE place on the steps of the old bank facade.

Yelling God is Great isn't really a reason to be beaten up by muslims or non muslims... I regularly say it to the guy I buy falafels from on bloor (he loves it) and I always greet/say goodbye to him as salumu alaykum/wa alaykum as salam. Muslim law forbids him to give me a full greeting in return (I'm an infidel after all) so he'll usually respond with various parts of the greeting. He will always rock the takbir back to me though.

yo shiz...thats BS he should give you the full greeting back...no infidel would give the greeting thats the point...I was taught if someone says it they part 'a the team...nah I mean?;)

Actually, I like the people I work with and we go to tasty places. It's not a "working lunch" thing, it's us taking a 2 hour lunch and acting like idiots every Friday afternoon! :) Today we had a plethora of west indian food (oxtail, curry goat, ackee/salt fish, etc).

I have been thinking about it, if for no other reason than we have the biggest thread in the BF...and none are full members. Plus I get to moderate yer sorry asses!
You needs a blue star to moderate. The red star might go w/ your Alpha Flight costumes better, but the blue stars are the ones w/ the power.
