That reminds me of this, the Moots bike designed for a ride across the arctic circle.

I like the setup, both wheels are made to be rear wheels.

For the Idatabike race, the short course is 100miles the loop is 350 I think and then the whole run for the crazy dog sled teams is 1100 miles. I'd love to try that in the sand. Look at the monster sub zero shock cylinders... or are they coffee thermoses...batteries? The dual backup/redundant wheel thing is brilliant!!

I never noticed the backup wheel thing until Pyze mentioned it; truly brilliant.

I dont know if I am missing something...how does that leave room for a lockring? Good idea.
Whoever said today was gonna be crazy in the shops? I did my usual complete last minute shopping extravaganza in 3 hours this morning/afternoon. Even had time for a haircut. The core is dead. Good times!

it looks like they're designed to work on any english threaded cog, assuming you use a 3/32 chain. they mentioned that they have a lock ring designed to work with these as well.

i managed to make it to the lcbo today as i end up going into one every christmas eve and it is madness.

Ok, is there a good way to electrically grill steak?

what, you mean like with car battery and booster cables?

i'd say one of those stove top grillers (pan w/ grill humps) will do nicely. sear on both sides and finish in the oven to desired doneness. may i also suggest dropping a little bit of herbed goat's cheese on top when done, or perhaps some garlic butter. enjoy.

A regular cast iron pan works well also using the same technique. Be prepared for lots of smoke though!

Alton Brown's recipe (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_99,00.html) is the only one anyone should ever use when attempting to cook nice steak indoors without professional equipment.

Have a nice holiday everyone, Merry Christmas.

I rode to my friend's house tonight and it was gorgeous out; crisp and clear and no cars at all, perfect for a nice ride. I hope the same is true for tomorrow, I love this time of year.

Not really.....I got a ton of chocolate so that means I have to bicycle more to work off all the calories I will be consuming, does that count? My family knows that I have pretty much every bicycle-related thing I could ever need so the next best thing is chocolate, gotta love them for that ;)

Yes I’ve wanted rollers for a while & have mentioned it in passing a couple of times & someone was listening cause i now have! So i gave it a try dam not so easy, very difficult actually i'll need to practice up big time. I also got a Aero Carbon TT Fork off evil bay last week its very nice but my track nuts don’t fit in the quick release space & my axels are solid so damm gotta figure that out.
But the hit of the day was a couple of hermit crabs along with a nice little tank.
Cheers
Merry x-mas
