I think it was Eric? on a lovely Fuji track bike for the win.
It was damned cold... loads of coverage it seemed but merely a quick mention on CityTV.
Apparently it will be airing on TeleMondo in the US, the guy was yaking away with Manny in spanish and will try to send him a tape. There was this killer recumbent with two blades on the front, killer fast, I kept waiting for his wheel to fold in the cornering lol. A good time served chilled.

Some messer on a Gardin went into the rubber race after borrowing a helmet and mashed his chainring crashing into the gate that separates the two rinks. A hammer and an adjustable wrench got him home.

HEY how much for a set of DeepV rims here in Toronto roughly?...... Was looking at my frame this morning.

cold.. real cold.. :)

I don't guess anyone here knows any of the photogs that were there last night, huh? I'd like to see some of the pics. I know there was one guy there that I always see at Crit Mass, but I don't know his name.

Jim Kooz of Toronto won the final race, he's pretty slick on the ice, got 2nd in Montreal this year too. That was a good time last night, lotsa laughs whether or not you raced (I didn't, hell I didn't even ride to get there being just a few blocks away) Great fun! Pray to something for a cold winter next year, maybe it can be out on the lake again

Yeah, the lake would be awesome. I'd like to give it a try also.. I need to be learned in the art of tire studliness. :)

I'm looking for a set of Nitto B125 39cm handlebars and a Sugino Zen ring in a 47T. I'll be driving through two weeks from now and I was wondering if there was any shop in TO you guys knew of that carries either of these. Feel free to PM me if you've got the low-down.
Thanks

man i'm an urbane regular. i've probably spoken to you before; if you're who i'm thinking of, i think you gave me a frame box back in the summer.

me: tall/gangly, 30ish (getting close to anyway), brown pac messenger bag, bell helmet in rabobank colours...

Heya, I just started this winter so it couldn't of been me. If you see an little asian kid laboring in the back, THAT would be me.
and the last nitto track drops B123's cro-mo's have my name on it :)
I haven't seen B125's around and I know for sure there aren't any ZEN chainrings in the back of urbane.
ask cavern cycles, they got fun track stuff.

also, there was a guy who posted on the trading thread who wanted to trade a new ZEN chainring (he has multipul sizes) for a brand new Sugino 75 chainring + a bit. PM him and get a chainring from him.

if your real desperate for a ZEN type chainring, check out the FSA one. http://imagescommerce.bcentral.com/merchantfiles/5116474/FSA%20chainringthumb.jpg its also 144 BCD.

I'm not terribly keen on the FSA logos on the front. If it comes to buying one retail online, I'll just get it from Business Cycles.

Thanks for the tips, y'all.

It all started as this old guy. Ugg!

Luckily when I bought it, it was already stripped down. So I could see the potential.

Now, I jsut got it powder coated at spectrum,a dn painted on my own decals, adn she's off to the races. Now if I only had some wheels.

gah.. my urbanite fork keeps getting rustier and rustier.. any suggestions? Should I just say fuggit and try and figure things out when the weather improves? Or is there anything I should be doing now? I'd never planned on this bike staying particularly pretty, but having that pretty shiney fork get rust spots all over it isn't what I wanted either!

some rust removal tips from,
jet sanchez: I got rust off of my chrome fork with a bit of furniture stripper.
cavit8: Damp tinfoil (shiny side) will get the rust off. Then use some autowax on the fork to keep it shiny. It'll dry hard and help protect.

Oh hey, I forgot to mention it but you should really wax your frame before you build it up. I noticed that on my lighter coloured frame that scuffs really show up unless you wax it. I know you have a black frame but it still couldn't hurt, I have two black powder-coated frames (from Spectrum too) and they also got waxsed. I think I used Turtle car wax or something similar. Cheers.
