Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

There was one on C/L Toronto a bit ago think it was a regular 26" though.
It was nice getting out on the bike today for a longer then normal commute.
Just did not realize I was that out of shape. The licks burger I had for dinner was good, hang on a sec!!!
Cheers

Holy **** that was hilarious. It kind of reminds me of the skit where they're talking about the guy's brother dying and eating entire heads of lettuce at the same time.

And on that note... Sirrobinofcoxly just chastised me and says we should be talking about bikes.

Have you seen the "Lazy Sunday" rap those guys did? It's GENIUS. Unfortunately, NBC sent a nastygram to youtube and made them take it down. Apparently it's available on the NBC website somewhere though.

I first saw their stuff here (http://www.thelonelyisland.com). This one (http://www.thelonelyisland.com/nintendo.html) is completely rediculous, but I love it.

edit: stupid forums and their not-using-real-html.

nice pics. i saw that bianchi pista with the funky saddle on my way out; it looks more blue in the pictures. i think it was almost a brownish green in person.

that winterbourne track bike is the ****! i loved the hand stitched leather grips.

did anyone stop by urbane's booth? i loved the bike that Carey put together with the funk moustache bars and the nexus 8 speed hub with the shifter on the quill stem.

Ya, thanks again for the tickets. I couldn't believe how expensive all the food+drink in there was. $2.60 + tax for a cup of flat pop? No thanks. I had to keep wandering over to the washroom to get my ghetto style on (yay, drinking from a washroom tap).

Best thing I saw at the show had to be the street bmx guys over in the colosseum. That was well worth showing up for. Nothing came home w/ me other than a few Pedal back issues and a Shimano catalogue (M540s = maybe next pedal purchase for me) but it was good to see some uber tech stuff up close and personal.

God I hope that "NO BRAKES" thing on the Bianchi Pista isn't painted on the production models. The legal departments of some companies really get out of control at times.

- eyefloater

PS. Hey weather, warm up so we can go on beer (or Stoli in my case) rides.

1) I talked to the Bianchi rep and he said the "No brakes" thing is indeed on the production model. I got the "lame marketing" vibe over the "lame legal" vibe though.

2) Take this with a pound of salt, but The Weather Network is saying 14 degrees by the end of the week. :)

So, I brought my wobbly chainring to urbane today afterwork and was told with full embarassment that whomever had built my bike used the wrong length bolts. Lovely! Oh well, at least the guy that fixed it (the super tall skinny guy.. can't remember his name) seemed genuinely embarassed.

And I'm also embarassed that it took me about 4 months riding before I noticed how wobbly the thing was... Just goes to show that the idea of doing a really thorough cleaning of your bike while checking all your bits is A Good Thing (tm).

i single speeded my old rockhopper. the surly tensioner works fine although you can probably get a knock off these days for a bit cheaper. once you have that, just get a cheap BMX cog and a spacer kit for your freehub body and you're good to go.
if you want to do it on the cheap you can just use your old derailleur as a tensioner. kind of cludgy but it works. i miss my SS MTB, wish i hadn't sold it. now i'm lusting after a karate monkey for some hot spring dirt action.

BTW - i have an extra set of Time ATACs. kind of a shot in the dark, but would anyone want to trade these for a pair of (used of course) egg beaters?
