Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just got back. By ordering just espresso I'm learning who makes a better cup at ideal. :P
then spill, who makes a better cup?

Well, I only recently switched to "naked shots" there (because their latte's are so tasty), so I'm not sure if some people are just inconsistent or not. I also have no idea what anyone's name is, so I'll do my best. I just got a pretty lame one from the dark skinned lady. I seem to remember "Audrey" making a good one, but that was a while ago. I've gotten a couple good ones from the sorta hippy-ish girl (amazing one yesterday, actually). And the guy with the butterfly tattoo on his hand has made me a couple of terrible ones. I think that's about it. Any observations from you?

I've found the shots much better on ossington than in kensington. I got some real crappy shots pulled by the tattoo guy before.

dark skinned girl has done some nice ones for me, ditto hippy-girl. butterfly-guy has ****ed mine up a couple of times (i seem to remember him overflowing the cup). petite brunette usually working on thursdays is alright but when i order an espresso she puts it in a big mug unless i ask. i don't think audrey has made me one yet...

Coffee shots? As I understand it the first quarter...yuck, quarters 2-3....what you want in your cup and the final quarter...yuck as well. Me....will drink all 4 quarters and not notice the diff.

Oh boy, I love advocacy and safety:
This picture is from the June 2007 issue of Bicycling magazine, p. 37.
*snip don't ride in the door zone snip*
What can we do change bicycling culture to understand this better?
Oh I know!
How about a campaign of ridicule, with phony psychological disorders and "syndromes"?
Or what about we just throw out all the cycling-specific infrastructure and see if that improves the lane positioning of ordinary cyclists?
Maybe we can thump 30-year-old bibles that could crack the average skull?
Or direct people to web sites full of shamelessly phony data and a kind of Internet crank-ish style.
Yeah. That ought to work.
Is this supposed to be helpful?
Are you?
I'm trying to be helpful.
Are you?
Goooooo Team!
Yes, buddy makes some horrific shots. And they're not butterflys on his hands, their deaths head moths a la the silence of the lambs.
I must admit that I haven't taken time to differentiate shot quality from the various and sundry women working there. I'm often too enraptured.
Operator, no pistols. I'll challenge you to an Inuit finger pulling contest.
edit: and that's why I'd rather visit foo than advocacy
Did I see you riding up Dovercourt last night?

It was a geared bike, so probably post accident ride while the other one is repaired or something

I actually have a brake now. Its duppy's old one since he is now sporting the white diacompe (btw, if you are ever about to say you 'rock' something, as in the wear, carry or use sense, to sport is a much finer alternative. Rocking out it still fine with me though.) I gotta buy pads, cable, cable housing and uwrap my bar tape. what a nuisance. However yesterday I was racing towards a light and had to abort and I barely stopped in time and my tire took a beating. It would be nice to have the option to stop really fast, even if weaving is more fun and efficient.

I'd ride with you, but I've already put off doing my laundry for a week. Hooray for smelling clothes you pick up off the floor to check if they are wearable! (the synthetic stuff is NEVER wearable. Such stank. I'm going to be a smelly smelly guy on my bike trip)

My bike is completely ****ed now, can't even brake without getting a really nasty vibration and loud ass squeal going through my bike.
The headset self destructed. Keep getting clicking noises when turning/braking. Isolated it down to somewhere within the fork/headtube area, it's not the handlebars/stem because I tried on another bike. It's not the wheel... because it's not loose.

That would be like Trick's N Drinks night without tricks... hrmmmm
does anyone here ride a older black Bianchi w/red decals, candy red deep v's, miche primato hubs & cranks, easton carbon fork? I was giving my parent's day-old new car a test spin at the CNE last night and complemented this guy through the car window (around Dufferin/King). He was so proud of his setup and quite happy to show off each component (not like I minded). Considering I was driving a car (a freak occurance), I was too embarrased to say I ride, too. Ah well. Dudes got a nice ride!

Actually riding a road bike for work has been fun. I love bombing hills! On the other hand I can't wait for my track bike to be back in commission. I miss switching it up. The worst part of my Urbanite road bike is how ****ty the rear wheel is. It has never stayed in true since I got it. Keith has gotten as good as he could and it still has a significant wobble. I have to run the back brake pretty loose so that it doesn't rub. So lame. Malcolm needs to hurry his ass up on my nice road bike and my track bike.
I'm down for an island ride on the weekend and SO down for fixed gear sprints. Hell yes.
Oh also Colin I saw you riding east along the lakeshore trail on I think it was sunday. Sadly I was in a car on lakeshore. I was very jealous, seeing as how I was stuck in a car in lame traffic.
what works for everyone on Sunday? 9am meet up at the ferry dock? I think it's like 5 or 6 bux for the ferry.

Yeah I'd say that's more realistic! It really depends how saturday goes. I have a feeling it's going to be a late/drunken one.

You checked the handlebars and stem but did you take off the stem and check the fork? It might have a crack in it.

Yeah, 10:30 or 11:00 makes more sense for me too.. although I'll likely be riding slowly with my gf anyway, so it probably doesn't matter. :)

Unwin Sprints will be starting soon. I will call John and see if he has managed to get down there and mark the road. As far as what evening, what is good for people? I was thinking Wed evening...hump day and all.
Op. Check the fit on the crown race...if this isn't really tight on the fork it would explain the shimmy.

Hump Day Havoc!! WOOOOO!
ps. Keith: you gotta get your arse in gear for some midweek Don rides too. I rode a whole other section that was new to me last night with Brad and Pyze (and Dave who drove your van). Good times.
Those were some cool trails. I'll be back on them for sure.

If it wasn't for these darn inconsiderate customers wanting their bicycles repaired I would be there.:D 10 p.m. finish last night
On another note if anyone is in need of Campy compatible rear wheels I got a bunch on a blowout, cheap. P.M. me if anyone is in need.
