Rides and Races - Toronto Fixed

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

You know what'd be really hot. A set of campy shamals or techno 416's
Gack, why would anyone put salt in a falafel? I rarely use salt except when I'm warding off the duppies summoned by people with 13's tattooed on them, so use in unexpected places hits me hard. There's a new falafel/shwarma place opened at Jones and Queen. Gus at Queen Pita has absolutely nothing to worry about.
His kick ass falafels, well, kick this place's ass.

bumpy knuckles.. bahahaha.. It's alright. Got x-rays done just to make sure I didn't break anything since the swelling wasn't really going down, and things felt a little grindy. Nothing broken though, thankfully. It was one of those "happy I don't live in the usa and I can just pop down to the hospital just in case" kind of moments. :) It's a little bruised and tight, but I'll live! Just hoping it'll feel good enough in a couple days to go for a mtn bike ride again. It's been far too long.

I usually just use azureus. It's a total resource hog though. Apparently with some tweaks to the config you can get it a little more efficient, but I haven't bothered.
xTorrent is pretty nice to use, but a little less feature rich for configuration...
also: since you're on Teh Intarnets, I assume you're at home today?

I use transmission on 'nix but they have a Mac version. Easy and doesn't seem to resource heavy to me.

I love this bike... At first I thought he was an idiot for leaving the clips strapless until someone pointed out the straps / shoelace co-relation at which point I realized the genius of the strapless clips.

Read carefully -- it may have been ridden outdoors, he just never rode it out doors.. this claim of cautious navigation through portals is definitely there to demonstrate the careful way in which he took care of this bike.
As for the onion -- I heartily agree. Before my Air Zound decayed into a heap of useless rubber, the horn was much more effective than swearing and fist shaking.
EDIT: Just checked fgg for the first time in a few days.. anyone else catch this awesome Run DMC inspired bike? Not so much in terms of bike porn, but i love all the little touches (especially the adidas bling)...

Hey guys. Im almost down to LA, waiting for my wheel to be rebuilt as it finally died. You should all do this ride. Its been fan freaking tastic. Anyways I'm getting prepared to head back to Vancouver so that I can do a marathon across canada. I'm going to try for speed and go really lightweight with long days. Can any of you fools who have done Van-TO tell me how many km I am in for and if there are any books/maps etc. that would be helpful? I'm looking to get from Van-TO in less than 30 days so I want to see if that is feasable. Cheers buddies I hope you're enjoying the humidity... I'm enjoying a cool sea breeze on a hot day. Sweeet!
PS. A pm would be nice as I can't check this thread very often.

Did you guys see this during the TdF? Hard to believe that the carbon wheel went smoooosh so fast and on such a soft object too....weird. Don't let the title of the clip scare you, the doggy is fine and even gives the camera an apologetic look.

I missed that.. ugh. I hate stupid dog owners. I don't have a problem with the pets, just their twit owners. Unlike bratty/loud children, I don't have patience for them OR their parents. :P
Edit: scratch that, I just hate people. :P
