hah.. nice.
Just installed my tektro cross lever and re-taped my bars in blinding red tape. :P There's something not right about the cross lever though, but I think I may have simply bungled the installation... It's like the brake isn't springing back after I use the lever. The cable seems like it's getting hung up on something.
How come I miss all the fun? I didn't even see ewitz get banned... How do I know there even was an ewitz . . . Eyefloater, are you messing with my head?

1. Follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, you will only see one color: pink.
2. Stare at the black + in the center, the moving dot turns to green.3.
3. Concentrate on the black + in the center of the picture. After a short period of time, many if not all of the pink dots will slowly disappear and you may only see a green dot rotating.

hey, i noticed that once, long ago, in this thread, someone mentioned that a shop in toronto called urbane carries marinoni branded laminated leather toe straps. does anyone have pictures, or know if they still have them?
i ride a marinoni, so obviously, i want a pair...or two.
i've already emailed urbane about it too.
I think I'm having a seizure. When I feel like this, my doctor says I'm having a seizure...

The red tape will give it a nice summer punch go for the red/black vittora rubino's as well A Nice1 2 punch.
The lever i just put on was a tektro rx 2.0 seems good but the spring back wire is about a 16 gauge a little thin
Just make sure the spring wire is on under side of the lever if not may need a new one if there's no spring.

i have an older version of those tektro levers with no return springs;they work best with a brake with strong return springs of their own. i've used it with some cheaper quality tektro and shimano (sora/tiagra) calipers and they work best if you have enough bend in the cable housing, but it's important to get it the right length. too short and it will bind (be sort of "held" open as it's being pulled from underneath by the caliper) also try taking up some of the slop with the barrel adjuster on the side (or on the caliper).
are you using it with drop bar levers or on it's own?

I'm using it on its own and yeah, I think it might be binding in the cable housing.

sweet,
I remember I did a cable change a month ago on a pina exactly like that blue one.
was real fun finding those old school metal housing end caps cause the boss holes were so small.
also, the cables were thankfully easy to feed through the frame.
anyways, your red and white looks quite awesome.
just wondering, are you going to keep that saddle on?
also, those aren't campy cranks are they!?

Those have been making the rounds on eBay for a while now. I even recall some guy selling 'counterfeit' versions of them a while back. Hard to believe someone would pay for those things considering they were originally available for free.
I guess it's kind of like the Vice magazine phenomenon. I hear the early newsprint copies can fetch top dollar online these days. Save your back issues boys, they could help put your kids through college!

i bought a set of long reach at urbane. from what i remember they were $35/each or $60 for the pair. it's a deal if you ask me. the new models have a nice strong return spring and come with cartridge brake pads and perform as well as any 105 or equivalent.

sweet flick. you can't go wrong with rutger hauer AND ice-t. damn. WHICH brings me to my lone brush with fame: YEARS ago, i was walking down a rainy yonge street after serving a saturday morning detention (hence why i was walking down yonge street on a rainy saturday morning), and who did i spy walking by the uptown(RIP), but ICE-muthafcking-T, his wife, and a member of his entourage!!! i stupidly asked him if he was ice-t. his majesty was decked out in a blue jays cap and matching jacket from roots..talk about being on the incognito-tip... the OG was explaining the marquee from surviving the game to his wife!! i asked for an autograph..harhar..but i didn't have a pen and neither did he, so he asks me for my hand and shakes it. he told me he'd just wrapped filming johnny mnemonic in hamilton. pure class i tells ya. hiphop needs some more of the oldskool pimpin'.
is there a store in kensington called death or glory? or is it death and glory.. moonbeam/moonbean.. what the hell.
