Wes I noticed you had a PB superflash on the rear last time you were in - is the light bright? Superbright? Supergood?

It is a good one: when I put mine on, I had some guy in a pick-up tell me it was bright, so I asked him if he was f-ing with me, but he said no. Later, I had some people on the sidewalk give me a similar comment. Seems to have lost brightness over the past 2.5 months, so it might need new batteries.

I've really been enjoying my current setup (front light on the shoulder strap of my backpack ... basically where my clavical is, rear light on the light loop in the back) but it seems I'm not visible from the sides at times. I've started wrapping a reflective band around each arm at the elbow but <infinite dork>does anyone know any velcro bands that also light up?</infinite dork> I really like not having to worry about my stuff getting ripped off when I'm not on the bike, but I don't want some assride side-swiping me either.

PS. Ho-ly **** was last night's ride home intense. Between the wind and the power outtage and the cold I was REALLY glad to just make it home in one piece. Riding down Queen street with only my front light to light the way was surreal. Oh, bonus points to the idiot peds who thought they'd casually saunter across the street - in the middle of a complete black-out ... while wearing black. Nice, dude(s).

Both my front and back lights unclip from thier brackets on the frame, I just throw them in my bag whenever I lock up and at home. Too cold to leave on the bike, kills the batteries.

hahahahaha man peeps were bad driving the whole blackout section....I scraped an aston (proudly) as he tried to sandwich me between him and a van...then he opened his window and tried to have words...I told him he was driving in the bike lane and by trying to cut back in to the car lane almost killed me...he started cussing...I told him roll up his window or hes gonna get killed (by me) window went up right quick ;)

I rode with Charlie one night on the spit and his light was too bright, kept blinding me. On the rode in the rain it was extremely bright as well.

We had one collecting dust on a shelf. I think QBP distributes them (don't quote me on that, though). Most places market them toward touring cyclists but if the tool works well it should come in handy for at-the-trailhead ss gearing changes too. We shall see ...

Oh, and apparently there's a Campagnolo one, too.

Cool- touring is what I had in mine. Cassette removal tools are cheap and simple... but big and heavy!

That's wicked, thank you so much! If you put it in an envelope with my name on it and ask to leave it behind the counter for me that would be perfect. I know all but one person there so chances are someone I'll know will be working. ;) You can tell them the coffee is on me, too!

Good luck! Getting the loan is the easy part. Not blowing it on bike stuff is the hard part.

Hey look at that, I found this place again. Man I miss it here. Stupid non-bike life.

Anywho...

As it stands, sprints are on - despite my saying to Will earlier they were not happening due to the awful weather we were supposed to be in the middle of. However, that being said I will try and post an update on here - and msg the Facebook group - before 8pm with my final answer.

And on that note, we're also working on a ****e weather contingency that could possibly take the shape of a bimonthly indoor event. This is of course pending some logistical issues that some of you may receive somewhat cryptic pm/email/phone call/etc's regarding. I assure you, this is not on purpose so much as my style of running with a project that is a somewhat of an incomplete thought, but so far so good :D

Yeah, it's awesome. My front 5-LED planet-bike light seems plenty bright (for being seen) as well, but it's kind of giant and hideous. :P

I used to put two MEC frogs on pointing out to the side off the headtube. Seemed to work pretty well from a visibility standpoint and quick like a bunny to take off.

We are on page 1337! Woo!

I picked up a superflash on lunch today and JHC it's bright. 1/2w LED is almost overkill I think. At any rate here's a PSA, Dinottes having a sale again. 200L lithium ion version + tailights. The 140L tailights is like a 3w LED or so. Still waiting for an affordable bright front light.

2.5 months?? HEhe. Grab the energizer recharegeable kit at Walmart $19.99, 4x 2500mah nimh rechargeables + charger. Can pickup a 4x AAA 900mah set for like $13.

Sprints tonight, anyone going? Are they still at Ontario place now?

We are on page 1337! Woo!

I picked up a superflash on lunch today and JHC it's bright. 1/2w LED is almost overkill I think. At any rate here's a PSA, Dinottes having a sale again. 200L lithium ion version + tailights. The 140L tailights is like a 3w LED or so. Still waiting for an affordable bright front light.

2.5 months?? HEhe. Grab the energizer recharegeable kit at Walmart $19.99, 4x 2500mah nimh rechargeables + charger. Can pickup a 4x AAA 900mah set for like $13.

I need an Klingon to English dictonary to read most of your posts.

Was at Cycle Solutions in the beaches, and was told they are off. Would someone like to confirm?

Is that a bump of, "yes, sprints are on. Learn to read, ******," or, "uncertain..."?
