Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Got...Handlebar shims?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Does anyone have a 25.4 to 26.0 handlebar shim lying around they want to get rid of? PM me if you do; I'll send you a few dollars. The girlfriend wants flat bars rather than drops

Try a beer can. I can send you plenty of those.

yeah, a can works fine, especially because you can't induce much rotational torque with flat bars.

I used a can-shim, too. I got some comments in this thread about it when I asked in the mechanics forum. If you have a machine shop near, look for a shim, or else, just use an aluminum can cut to size.

Sweet, I'll give it a shot. They're riser bars to be exact but at 105lbs I don't think she'll be puttin' too much force on them.
btw: That's why I love this forum....pop cans...BRILLIANT!
