Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - issues with the new square key locks

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I was in a bike shop today, and i was about to buy a mini-magnum by bike guard, the new "improved" one with the square keys. For some reason, I happened to pick up another mini off the rack, and I was more than a slightly shocked that a key from another lock opened the one I was about to buy. I tried a third lock, same model, and the key from the second lock opened the third lock. The cut of the key's looked very similar, I'm thinking that may have had something to do with it. This is the only time this has happened when I have tried a key in another lock, or heard of it happening for that matter. It may have been a total fluke, but the fact is it happened and I saw it with my own eyes, not once but twice. I thought I should post this to spread and help share the paranoia I am now feeling about this "more secure" lock system. Toodles!

Well the if ****ing kryptonite would get off their lazy asses and send me my shipping label, then I could see if the new locks really suck or not.

Are you serious?
I bought an old lock off a guy for cheap the other day, went on their site & registered the lock model + key number and received my labels the next day.

But you said "send". And I think snail mail. I hope you put in your correct email address when registering...
Who is bike guard?
I received three new Kryptonite locks - two replacements for Kryptoloks (the regular $30 kind) and a replacement for my mini. I carry two keys on me, one for the mini and another for yet another lock I have, the New York u-lock which held me over while all my other locks were out for replacement. I've mistakenly put the keys into each other's locks and they won't go.

Yes. I'm serious. I registered on feb 27, no word back yet.
And by send, I mean send by email, not by snail mail.
Maybe I'll have to take a ride down to the kryptonite corporate HQ in canton, mass and bust some heads with my bicable round key kryptolok.
