so i'm pretty new to the sport and i have my first bike..it's a mtn tek comp xt. it hax shimano LX for almost everything except for a xt rear derailer. i have no idea what the forks are but they are pretty soft. i got the bike for a good price but i cant find anything about it on the net. does anyone have any experiance with these bikes? any extra imput would be great.

it's a comp xt, i'm not sure of the year. aluminum frame. sorry about my grammer, i did'nt know mountanin bikers were english majors to. in the 15 years that i have ridden BMX they were called forks. oops. ;)

It's been debated time and time again..several people say forks, there is no harm in it.
