General Cycling Discussion - 3 Wheel Bike for Special Olympics

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi,
I am a parent of two young men that are joining a special olympics team, they will be riding 3 wheel bikes.
that is if their mom can find some. I really can't afford two new bikes, do you have any suggestions where I could get some used ones?
thanks
Mary Jo
Hi Snipie, and welcome to the Forums.

when you say 3 wheeled bikes are you referring to like a trike that's still leg powered, or one that uses hands or what?
try your local craigslist

Check worksman cycles but their trikes are heavy.

Which type:
racing wheelchairs
pedal-powered trike recumbents
hand-cranked trike recumbents
Upright racing trikes.
The "worksmen" trikes above are NOT for racing , they are heavy duty load-carrying machines.
