So, I need a new set of cranks. I was rocking the bulletproof, but now im interested in getting my hands one something nicer, but still low cost--it also has to fit on my current BB (cant for the life of me remember the length).

Any suggestions/links would be appreciated.

get a ruler. measure the bb width. then you can figure out what kind of crank you can use.

FMF is a bmx company that makes good cranks for less than bulletproof, and better looking. they come in black or silver, and 150mm to 175 mm, square taper or ISIS. you may need a different BB to dial in you chainline though.

there's a thing called a helicoil that will fix that. i rode my pedals loose and stripped out my cranks and figured they were toast. but they can drill out your old cranks, reverse thread it, screw in a helicoil, and blamo.... new cranks.

Haha, good idea--someone did that to my Vespa's sparkplug on the head. I think it's time to upgrade the crank though--I dont really give a crap about chainline at the moment, as the bulletproof's chainline was pretty damn noisy and off.

Does anyone know where I can pick up a nice track crank and 48t chainring in the SF area?
