Does anyone know if newer Sunrace freewheel cogs will interchange with standard Shimano hyperglide freewheel cogs? (not the new improved large bearing megarange freewheel)
....Old school, new parts...

If capsicum is not asking if the threads are standard between Shimano and SunRace, can anyone tell me, are the threads standard?

No thread on cogs are way older than HG. I would like to make a custom cog range and I need to know if my sunrace cogs will fit a hg freewheel. In other words, I want to know if the splines on sunrace freewheels are compatible with old style hyperglide freewheel splines. (The brand new style hg megarange freewheel is incompatible with anything)
I need to know so I don't make useless purchases.

So you have or had one of each next to each other, or is that some kind of a guess?

I ask if it is a guess because I just read that they are very close in design, some say reverse engineered even.

So I havent seen a shimano hg cog but i did just disassemble and reassemble my sunrace so I know what I'm looking for if I come accross an hg that I can take apart or seperate cogs.
New question: does anyone know if nashbar and/or performance freewheel cogs are sunrace or shiamno hg compatible, they appear to be rebadged shimano but I can't say for sure.
