Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Curious, tis the season for me to get my fleet up and running (as well as my gfs)...What are you doing/need to get the bike ready
Banshee Scream
New rear wheel - lighter and not warped ;)
New rear tire - she doesn't need 2.7 mobster
MRP LRP Small - need I examplain why chainguides are needed? She wants multiple gears so she can trail ride with this beast
Odi grips
New Stem - she has some ugly/heavy funn adjustable dh stem. Death on wheels imo.
Pedals
Bighit
Brakes (got them)
New front 20mm wheel w/ 8in rotor (will have 2 20mm wheels for 3 20mm forks)
Rebuild rear wheel on an unidentified rear hub from the Banshee. Completely silent and tonnes of engagement and took tonnes of abuse from my pro buddy
Tansition ToP
Surly SS wheel TA rear
Rear brake (not need, front is enough)
36t chainring
I haven't decided if I want to use the profiles I have in stock or if I just want to make it easy and buy some v-drives.
Kona Stuff
Install fork I bought my gf with the new avid brake
Kona Roast
Front deraileur cable and housing
Thats it for me. Gonna leave me a buttload of parts to sell and unload too. Can't wait till I am done so I can clear out my part drawer :)

What "was" his/her avatar? No more logo's for real? Please 'splain
Re: 70°+ temps. : It has been as high as 96° before one summer I recall. I was sweating pretty badly in the parking lot before my ride even started. The humidity is what gets you too.... Can anyone say "Heat Stroke"?

more snow? Holy crap im so sorry. We have probably lost 3 feet of snow in under 2 weeks. ITs like a night and day transformation. Now its light at 6:30, and reasonably dry in some parts. Though we have gotten so much rain some placse are like a swamo

Usually in april we get low snow with a big base from the winter. Valley clears up and the mountain bikers hit the trails. We had no snow Jan and feb and most of march, I was riding a little in feb, now we are getting dumped on. In 5 days we have had more snow than most other aprils on record and beat jan feb and march hahaha

I actually wrote a list down,
clipless pedals
shoes
water bottle cage
mx comp-not going to ge tthis this season, maybe next if im lucky
saddle
seat post
tires
chain
I'll probably do chain first, and then saddle and then wait until I break my rims and then get the wheel set at bikeroom. And the others as good deals come along/when i break them

I just installed my upgrade for this summer,5th element air shock.I hope I can go out on wed. and set it up.The thing is cool, it feels soft but you can mash hard on the cranks and no bob.Any one got any tips for set up.This is my first air shock.

I had to fiddle with my Z-150 SL before getting it the way I liked. It still seems to have too much rebound pressure if I'm seated when hitting roots & stuff. I think I need to adjust the knob at the bottom of the forks....

Immediatly I need to bleed my discs. Over the course of the summer,
New brakes (levers, calipers, rotors)
PUSH my rear shock
Everything else is in pretty good order, bunch of parts got replaced/upgraded this winter already.

My Planet X Needs to be completely built, im not exactly sure what im putting on it yet, i find it easier to save the money for the bit, then buy it when you have enough, rather than write a whole list out so it looks really daunting.
For the Hardrock, probably a new front disc brake and some new grips.
Think that will do it :)

I rode through the winter, but I just got my FS runnin' again a couple weeks ago(by cannibalizing my HT). So I need new cranks/chainrings for my HT-prolly get Truvativ(can't remember the model). My LBS has got a sweet pair of 175's that are a really dark blue. Gotta replace the brake cables/housings on my HT cuz I got new riser bars. Think my FS needs a new rear shock or at least a rebuild. Got a Fox Alps 5R, or somethin' like that, and it doesn't seem to hold air as well as it should. Might try to upgrade the Headshok on my FS, but that all depends on parts availability. If that's not possible, I guess I'll get a converter and new fork--or a new bike....:D

Hmm...
A BMX bike itself, then probably some new grips and brake routing for that if they're crap.
For my MTB, a new fork, grips, and getting rid of the bar ends.
