I have an old 10 speed with a seized front derailleur (which they used to do about 3 weeks after you bought the bike).
Normally it wouldn't bother me, but this one has frozen over the large sprocket so I effectively have only 3 gears and no really low one.
How do you get these things to work - oil does nothing ?
It's an old Shimano friction-lever 'Tourney'.
