Introductions - Whats up?!?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just wanted to introduce myself I am from Monroe, MI. I am just getting back into the mountain biking scene from a 7 year abscense. Well I currently have a Mid-Nineties Gary Fisher Mamba, and am looking into getting a new ride for this summer. Right now I am leaning towards another GF this time the Marlin but I also really like the Trek 4500.

My wife rides a Trek 4500. It does a good job for the money. I ride a Gary Fisher Tassajara. I love the Genesis geometry, especially on some of the tight single tracks that I ride from time to time. The easiest way to get through some of the tight turns is to pop up the rear wheel and swivel through it. That maneuver becomes rather easy with the Genesis geometry and I only occasionaly end up over the bars.

Welcome to the forums! You may want to ask your bike related questions in the general cycling forum or the road biking forum. You'll definitely get a higher response, since a lot more people hang out there than in the introductions.
