a friend just bought a khs flite 100 for a ss. i don't know if he needs long reach brake calipers or not. do you?

You shouldn't need long reach calipers.

I used to have one, and the calipers I ended up putting on the front were wicked short.

thanks guys, my ignorance on all things brake abounds. i finally figured it out though. he's stoked on his new ride, and i plan on trying to convince him to go fixed instead of ss once the bike arrives.

same here. i had some shimano 105 brakes i was going to put on but never did. the reach is small.

i just put on a cheap shimano RSX front brake on my brothers KHS. didnt have a problem at all.
