Beautiful day out today and couldn't resist going for a ride. After doing couplr of cp loops with ultrag i cruised around the city running some errands. Around 50th on 7th ave, i got cutoff by a SUVload of suits and after they cut me off to park on the side of the street, nearly causing me to crash, they nearly doored me. I was about 2feet away from the driverside rear doors when it started to open, luckily i was going fast enough where i wouldn't have ran straight into it, but they couldn've still bumped me into traffic. Here comes the cool part... as they started to open the door I was able to slam it back in the guys face before he hit me on the side. I just heard a grunt coming from the inside of the car. Its so great to give them a taste of their own medicine. Didn't mean to brag or anything. not really as cool as it sounds but i felt great. :)

there's something about the sound of the door slamming in that situation that is very satisfying.

of course, the sound of a door opening right as you go by is equally terrifying.

I had my first run in with a door today. Some lady started to open her door 3 feet in front of me with a car inches from me to the left. In a panic I yelled "Close that f&*$ing door", and surprisingly it worked.

HAHA

yeah its stories like this that make me glad I can ride everywhere I need/want to go on non busy roads.

But at the same time when I get to a place like NYC or what ever I'll prolly be that guy who everyone laughs at..."silly country bumkin"
