Mountain Biking - What is it called?

When you can ride moutain bikes on like the street like...............bunny hop onto obstacles and stuff like that I have heard of it and I would like to do do some of that and I was thinking about buying the Spec. hardrock..............good bad

That's what I did, I bought a size 15 Hardrock and the LBS put me an OnOff Morph stem for free. :D

EDIT: As for what it's called, Urban Freeride/Urban Assault, possibly trials, but trials ain't limited to city.

XC bikes tend to have slightly longer chain stays which puts your center of gravity further forward, so it's a little harder to get up on the back wheel. Also, going with a smaller frame means having a shorter top tube length. P series would be a better choice. The geometry of the hardrock vs the p series isnt that far off i think the chain stays differ by 1 inch and that really isnt much for someone just starting to get into street riding

Try getting a Giant STP1, they are a really good bike for street riding. Excellent geometry and one of the best in it's price area.

Oh yes. If only I had 600 bucks to spend on an 'urban' bike...
I toyed with the idea a lot, but I decided to get a BMX instead for half of that, which I'll do next week.

If you want a decently priced freeride, you could go with the Trek Bruiser 2, or the Jamis Komodo FX 1.0 or 2.0. Nice bikes, I would have got the Trek Bruiser if they would have had the option of a black or flat black, but the really bad blue was just gagging me silly. The Komodo 1.0 will run you over $1,000.00 CND, and the Brusier 2 is around the $900 mark all before taxes.
