I need some advice for my bike. As of now i have a 2004 trek 3700 bike that i got for cheap, and i want to upgrade pretty much everything on it. So when it comes to forks, rims and tires i need some advice on what i should get. I would greatly appreciate the advice.

What type of brakes, brake levers and shifters do you have?

I would consider how much it will cost you to upgrade everything you want to do to it, then compare it to buying a whole new bike. Just my 2 cents, but I don't know if the frame is worth it.

Agreed, he could have a better bike that's better AND worth upgrading for what he'll spend in components. Use the parts money towards a new bike and turn the 3700 into a commuter bike.
