Lost in Translation
I keep watching this film, and I think I do it a lot of the time for the cinematography. The DP was really good on this project.

OMG - Watched "Under the Tuscan Sun" last night with the girlfriend. People told me it was bad, IMDB says it's bad, but she still wanted to watch it. Bad doesn't even begin to describe this piece of crap - it's insulting to bad movies. Even she had to admit it was bad. I fell asleep and I could still tell it was bad, even in my sleep.
But, I did watch Betty Blue again the other night, so I suppose that makes up for it.

Wow, I've never been so moved by such a predictable movie before, especially the scenes between Gena Rowlands and James Garner. If you want to know what true love is watch Princess Bride, then watch The Notebook.

That sounds like the movie I should have watched last night. Looks good - will check it out.
As far as the Princess Bride goes - "To Blathe!" :D

jack, check out the book. it is excellent, not as depressing as you'd think. It focuses on more characters then just paul. great history/background etc, as well as the "aftermath".

Very entertaining film about Che Guevera's pre-revolutionary days.

A movie which didn't show much action with the snakes and all. I found it funny.

Finding Neverland | Marc Forster
hmm, not sure about this one. I am currently enjoying an intermission, which usually means I am bored with the film -but I'll reserve judgement till I'm done.
the guy who wrote peter pan has gotta be rolling over in his grave , seriously. watching this film, whenever they say "Neverland" I'm immediately thinking of Michael Jackson weirdness.

abort: I'll Sleep When I'm Dead ~~~intro too long, couldn't hold my attention. Aborting due to lack of free time and potential frustration by wasting it on a possibly bad film.
abort: Employee of the Month ~~~rented this because it's directed by the guy who did Strangers with Candy (love those Sedaris' kids!!!). Lame humor + Steve Zahn = even lamer, I gotta bail on this one as well.
qeued up: Godard's Contempt, Rainer Werner Fassbinder's BRD Trilogy (The Marriage of Maria Braun, Veronika Voss, Lola)

My sentiments exactly.
My girlfriend at the time made me see "The Notebook", but I was legitimately moved. It takes a lot for me to admit this, but I cried when I saw this movie. It was that good. Rowlands and Garner seemed to have a very good chemistry.
