Hi
I'm not actually a 'mountain biker' per se, but I am selling my car and looking to buy a mountain bike in replacement. Basically, I know nothing about mountain bikes other than the fact that I want one!
I've been looking around for bikes for a couple of weeks and have come across a couple of bikes in the Trek range that I think look pretty smart. I did actually have a trek a few years back but it got stolen and never replaced.
So, what am I looking for? £300 tops, mainly on-road use apart from maybe a quick splash across a few fields etc, and it has to look nice :)
These two both look nice, the 2nd in particular for the frame colour
3900 (http://www.allterraincycles.co.uk/product.php?pid=8275)
4300 (http://www.allterraincycles.co.uk/product.php?pid=8283)
What would you recommend?
Also, how do I work out the best frame size for my body? I'm about 6 feet tall, but how does that relate to frame size? Both those come up to 22.5" frame.
Cheers for any help, advice or suggestions!
