Was curious if anybody has had their Campy hubs (Vento wheelset) opened up for lubrication? I am wondering if repacking the Vento Campy hubs are any different that conventional non-cartridge (loose) ball bearings and if cartridge bearings, any suggestion as to how to clean and repack them?
Thanks for any advice,
George

GeorgeWhy don't you look at them.Easy enough to tell a cup and ball setup which has an adjusting cone and a locknut.

I have looked at them...just not taken them apart. The front hub has an outboard locknut on each side for cone adjustability and the rear shows no adjustability on the left hand side and hard to tell on the cassette side if cone tightness can be adjusted due to tight clearance with the I.D. of the cassette. Wanted to gain further perspective before taking the dive. Maybe some helpful hints on best way to re-pack since they may be serviceable...which I am not even sure they are. I have no experience with cartridge bearings if these are indeed that type.
Thanks,
George
