I am so proud of myself. I can't believe I did this, I've always been afraid to try in fear of screwing it up. But I did. I trued every wheel in the house. I trued my friend's wheels. I am so proud!

You can do anything you put your mind to! Have faith in yourself, take your time, and you can fix anything your bike will throw at you. Truing your own wheels is an important step on the road to maintainence freedom.

peace,

Its funny, most people i know know how to fix anything their bike can possibly have a problem with. Except....wheels. Thats when they go to the LBS. So its a skill worth learning. Well done

I was going to wade in, but discourgaed by my LBS. In retrospect, he was probably trying to save himself some business. He said, "If you screw up those expensive wheels, it's going to be costly." I ride Dura-ace wheels. I have been anxious to wade in, because I like being self sufficient. I was just hoping I could run into someone who could guide me the first time.
